Nancy has been a part of KCP's senior fitness group exercise classes for years. She says that Joyce has "a way of keeping it fun and light and different," and she always considers the time working out well spent.
Nancy has a love of travel, which she says requires a certain level of stamina and fitness. Continued strength training means she can enjoy her trips more fully, doing things like kayaking across a lake in the rain and hiking up a steep grade.
"I can't say how much I value KCP," she says. "I refer people to them whenever I can."
If you'd like to learn more about our Senior Fitness classes, please reach out! We offer in-person and virtual training classes daily Monday - Friday.

Cyndi is a swimmer who began PT at KCP when she was suffering from shoulder pain. She says that physical therapist Joyce Kight helped her to be a better advocate for herself and listen to her body when she's feeling pain.
Blanca is an avid fitness enthusiast who has dealt with back issues over the years. Working out on her own often led to flare-ups, and she says she came to this conclusion: "I need to be supervised!"
She sought to find a PT-led program which would help her maintain a fitness routine and avoid injuries in the process.
At KCP, she found that physical therapists could help her modify exercises to match her ability level and prevent injuries. She began with individual sessions but moved into the group exercise classes.
KCP's group exercise classes are offered in-person and online throughout the days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call us if you'd like to learn more or schedule a no-obligation consultation!
Patti says that she "always had weak ankles" and knew that strength and balance training would be helpful in preventing injuries, but she admits that "life got in the way" of maintaining a fitness routine.
After an "ugly break" from rolling her ankle on a stepping stone, Patti came to KCP for physical therapy. Upon completion of rehab, she decided to join the group exercise classes offered by KCP.
Patti hopes to avoid the types of injuries that accompany weak ankles and other joints by focusing on improving her strength and balance.
“I’ve been doing the strength training classes for over a year now, and it’s changed me so much. I feel so much stronger and more confident in moving,” she says.
Urinary incontinence and abdominal pain after childbirth were constant companions to Maegan, an avid runner, prior to beginning physical therapy at KCP.
She wore heavy pads to absorb the several leaked cups per day and tried to accept that she would have to "just deal with it," but she continued to seek a better solution.
An MRI eventually revealed internal inflammation, and Maegan was presented with options that included medications, Botox, and physical therapy. She chose PT and KCP.
Within the first two weeks of PT, Maegan says that she was feeling no pain on her runs. “It seemed miraculous,” she says. “No longer peeing my pants when I ran and not feeling any pain? It was amazing!"
Joan is committed to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle and joins group exercise classes at KCP both in-person and via Zoom.
"It’s made me feel younger," she says. " I was getting to an age where I thought I couldn’t do things anymore, but that wasn’t true. I do have some arthritis in my knees and back, but with proper treatment and strength training, it’s gotten so much better."
Fitness isn't just a young person's game! We believe that you should be fit and strong at ANY and EVERY age!

Over the years, she developed back problems. Post-retirement and post-stroke, she finally underwent surgery.
Maureen is motivated by the desire to travel and be active with her grandchildren again. She began rehab at KCP after her surgery and continues fitness training with Karina weekly.
Karina says, "I admire Maureen's dedication and perseverance. She's always trying to challenge herself to get to the next level. She's a joy to work with, and I can't wait to see her progress continue!"

At 74, he's still going strong and showing great form with his TRX Rows. Keep up the great work, Joe!
We know we *should* exercise to stay healthy and prevent injuries, but sometimes the prospect of exercising is scary - we can be afraid of doing something wrong, flaring up an old injury, or injuring ourselves in a whole new way!
KCP exercise specialist Karina understands this fear and addresses the topics of Corrective Exercise and Injury Prevention in this short clip!
Joan’s experience with KCP began several years ago with a back injury from lifting her wriggling handicapped dog. She says he was a moving target, and it was hard to lift him using good form.
Not only was Joan looking for PT for her back, she was also hoping to find a new personal fitness trainer since her gym had closed.
With KCP, she found both! She says she is both happier and stronger as a result.
Physical Therapy and Personal Training in One Place: Joan's Story Joan’s experience with KCP began several years ago with a back injury from lifting her wriggling handicapped dog. Five years and over a dozen providers later... Tanya has finally found relief for her debilitating back pain.
She went from "being in pain every single second" to being pain-free the majority of the time. At KCP, she learned how to manage her SI joint dysfunction and sacral torsion through a combination of exercise, strengthening, self-correction techniques, and occasional manual corrections in the office.
She says the difference has been "unbelievable!"
SI Joint Dysfunction and Sacral Torsion: Tanya’s Story For Tanya, a 31-year-old mother of two, the journey to pain-free living has been a long and frustrating one. When doctors told Marion that it was time for a total knee replacement, she was scared.
She came to KCP to discuss her fears with physical therapist Joyce Kight. She says that Joyce helped her before and after the surgery with encouragement, support, and a rehab program that helped her exceed all post-surgery objectives.
Today she is able to enjoy the activities she loves, including walking and hiking with her husband, Gordon (who is also a KCP client!).

Pregnancy and childbirth can wreak havoc on a woman's body in so many ways. Maegan, like many others, dealt with prolonged urinary incontinence after the birth of her babies.
Although other doctors told her it was "normal," Maegan came to KCP where she shared her concerns and goals. Through PT, she was able to move past her issues with UI and complete her goal of running a marathon.
Although she says she's "checked the box" on that goal, Maegan continues to train with the group exercise classes at KCP.
We LOVE helping people achieve their goals, and we are so proud of Maegan for the work she has done to achieve hers!
Maegan's Story: From PT for Urinary Incontinence to Running a Marathon Maegan is a 35-year-old mother of two who faced a tough return to normalcy after the experiences of giving birth. Blanca's goals include staying fit AND avoiding pain and injuries.
Working out on her own had led to painful flare-ups in the past, and she came to a new conclusion: "I need to be supervised!"
She joined the group exercise program at KCP and found that she still received individual attention during the workouts. "They will catch me... doing something not quite right and will stop me so that I can keep from hurting myself again. That’s exactly what I need right now!”
Blanca's Story: Managing Back Pain Through PT and Fitness While only 37 years old, Blanca is no stranger to back pain. She’d seen her father struggle with years of back issues and then began having them herself in her early twenties.
