UVA Health Community Paramedicine

UVA Health previously had a motto of “care beyond measure”. We feel this embodies our Community Paramedicine team who always goea the extra mile in making sure the patients have what they need and looking to decrease ways of any potential problems or issues. A great example is the work they did to repair this screen door. They saw an issue and out of their pockets, purchased a new door handle and installed it for one of their patients.

A lot of hard work has gone in to the Community Paramedicine program over the last year and we are excited to share the positive data and positive impact on patients we are seeing from that hard work.

Community Paramedicine program decreases ER wait times Since July of 2022, UVA Health started a new program to help patients right from their own homes.
