The Veterans Administration has announced a Temporary Local Variance that allows Vets to pay reasonable and customary Buyer Broker charges subject to the following:

The home the Veteran is purchasing must be in an area where:

(1) listing brokers are prohibited from setting buyer-broker compensation through multiple listing postings; or

(2) buyer-broker compensation cannot be established by or flow through the listing broker.

VA will also align with other agencies that will not include the Buyer Broker fees toward Interested Party Contribution limits.

Note that this goes into effect August 10, 2024.
