Thank you to the 400+ people who came out to the Band's 102nd Season Fall Concert at Monticello High School. We heard Disney, Sousa, music depicting a 16th century witch hunt (conducted by Burton Hable), an original composition based on the Old Hundredth (conducted by the composer, Charles Torian), and a band arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue, with pianist Greg Harris.

The Band closed out its 102nd Summer Season at Cville Band at The Paramount: Great American Songbook Meets Jazz tonight, along with over 950 in the house - nearly a sellout! Audience members got to hear vocalists Dan Barrale, Rita Dove, Doug Schneider, and Jessica Wiseman, along with sax great Michael Elswick and trumpeter "Big Ray" Ray Caddell.

We'll see you next at our Fall concert on Sunday, October 20th. In the meantime, follow us and please consider supporting your Charlottesville Band at www.cvilleband.org

Around 400 people braved the rain and came to Cville Band Presents: Summer Season at The Paramount — The Classics! They got to hear featured performers Doug Nash, Michelle Schroeder, conductors Gary Fagan and Charles Vaughan, a flute feature, a percussion feature, and more!

Our next show will again be at The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville and will feature four guest vocalists, two guest musicians, and a whole lot of fun! We’ll see you there on August 13 at 730pm.

Charlottesville Sheriff sings in first opera The Charlottesville Opera performed the Elixir of Love at the Paramount Theater on Friday, July 12, and Sunday, July 14, with a special guest.

The Band is playing at Grace Estate Winery on Friday, July 12 at 730pm. We'll be playing a family-friendly show featuring band classics, marches, Broadway, and more. Outside food is allowed, and we'll be playing outdoors as well. Rain cancels, but otherwise, spend a fun Friday evening with the Band at Grace Estate!

About 900 people came out to Cville Band at The Paramount: Family Pops Concert! Sunday afternoon. In plenty of air conditioned comfort, our audience was treated to saxophonist Bonnie Slater, vocalist Laura Lazarevich, and US Army rapper SSGT Nicco Feemster.

Our next performance will be Friday, July 12 at Grace Estate Winery at 730pm, and our next concert at The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville will be Tuesday, July 23 at 730pm.

Saturday, June 29 at 12:45pm: Open Rehearsal and Hip-Hop Talkback at The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville!

Join U.S. Army Field Band rapper Staff Sergeant Nicholas “Nicco” Feemster for a hip-hop program featuring a video presentation, Q&A, interactive rap exercises with the audience, and a rehearsal performance with The Charlottesville Band. SSG Feemster will perform as a special guest at the Band’s free concert the next day.

Originally from Southern Maryland, Staff Sergeant Nicholas “Nicco” Feemster comes from a musical family, taking inspiration from his grandfather Herb Fame of the Grammy-nominated R&B duo Peaches & Herb. Alongside SSG Lamar Riddick, he is one of the first two hip-hop artists to be hired by the Department of Defense.

This FREE event is made possible through the generous support of Tucker Griffin Barnes and is open to all middle and high school students, their parents, and the community.

Members of The Charlottesville Band return to present another recital concert at The Center at Belvedere. Musicians Becky Allen, Selena Daniels, Billy Faggart, Greg Harris, Cynthia Lumme, Burt Marks, Doug Nash, Janet Onnie, Erin Richter, and Bonnie Slater will present pieces by Rossini, Telemann, Schreiner, Elizondo, and more. You’ll hear music for French horn, bassoon, clarinet, flute, saxophone, and cello.

This recital is free and open to the public, so come listen to Band members play some music they never get to in full Cville Band concerts! Thursday, June 20 at 630pm.
