BR Furniture LLC
BR Furniture is a furniture company that designs and builds industrial-modern furniture. Designing and building is part of my daily life.
During the day, I spend my time as a Mechanical Engineer designing automation machinery. During nights and weekends I spend my time designing and building furniture in my shop. I like to build furniture that is unconventional, not just any typical design. I often use and re-purpose materials and objects that were not originally intended for furniture. In my pieces you will often find metal, glass,
To match their conference room table, a large white oak slab sits atop a split wine barrel.
Massive white oak slabs and retired wine barrels make up this 14 foot conference table. A giant "Y" inlay of the company's logo sits at the front.
Built a new table for our home office! Lots of knots in the top and over-sized cedar legs
Recently delivered 3 custom wine barrel pub tables. This design features a glass inlay top that can be lifted up to display collectible memorabilia. Very fun project!
Finished up these whiskey/whisky lights yesterday. This client was looking for a set of unique desk lamps. Red oak bases with an inlay of their company's logo. Cheers!
Working on a project with wine barrels. Had to cut a few open...pretty neat to see the red stained insides of the staves. There is an overwhelming smell of oak, butter, and wine when you open these barrels up.
Wine Barrels anyone?
Wine Caddies now available at Shop 501, see Suzanne Thiesfeld's section!
A classic styled red oak frame holds up a simple and elegant piece of granite. This client was looking for a simply styled bar to overlook their living room.
Just delivered, a red oak bar with a granite top....another happy client!

You can never have enough clamps...even clamping pressure is paramount during a glue up, especially when working with oak. Happy building!

A couple of small side tables built from cast iron parts and very old basswood. The top and bottom are made from the same species, however the top has been planed to expose the inner color of the wood.
Using old lumber from their house, this client wanted a large dining room table to fit their entire family.
Constructed from reclaimed tongue and groove fir, this table features hidden extensions that support table top leaves to enlarge the top to about 117". The top received a light sanding and a few coats of clear polyurethane to preserve the patina.
Thanks Mike and Melva, Cheers!
Need a table top look a bit more distressed than usual?
"Hitting" the wood with a chain with randomly sized bolts, nuts, washers and the side of a rubber hammer can create that distressed look. This an easy process that anyone can do, just go slow!
A quick break from the furniture shop...skiing in Whistler BC
This desk was built for a client's home office. The desk is built from pine and finished dark to match the woodwork of their home. Reclaimed and unfinished lumber make up the drawer fronts to give the desk a hint of rustic feel.
This industrial styled coffee table was designed around the four house jacks that hold up the glass top. The base is made from reclaimed lumber and finished clear to capture the natural wood color.
This side table is built out of reclaimed fir and bass wood. The wood captures the frosted glass for a very modern feel.
Celebrating BR Furniture's first year! Cheers!

On another note, enjoy the cold Minnesota!
Happy Holidays from BR Furniture!
These tables are built purely out of fir. The Top is old reclaimed fir, finished with polyurethane. The legs and stretchers are made from newer fir, stained dark to create contrast with the top.
