You say that you never left the town you grew up in like it’s a bad thing.

I graduated from Chaska High School in 1994 and will always consider myself a Hawk. Some of the best times of my youth involved playing varsity baseball for Chaska, following in the footsteps of my Dad and Grandpa. They both played for the Hawks in high school, between 1944-1971, which is where my family’s allegiance for the purple and gold began. Fast forward to 2024, my daughter is a fourth generation Chaska Hawk who is smack dab in the middle of her 10U softball season and she might actually be more excited than I am to share this news:

We’re honored to announce that Carver Junk Company collaborated with District 112 to design & sell Chaska Hawks apparel online and at our physical location in Historic Downtown Chaska. The Hawks Shop remains a staple for the Booster Club, and CJC has been chosen as the exclusive local business to offer Hawks gear with our own designs. As a Hawks business partner, we will donate a significant amount of these sales back to the district. We’ve been sitting on this news for a while now while we planned our initial run of apparel: The Logo Collection. We were very intentional with keeping this line simple and fun, but rest assured, we have more collections coming with more elaborate designs tailored to specific sports and seasons!

This all seems like a really cool dream to me. Today I was sitting here thinking about how crazy it is that my retail store is just a couple doors down from where Wally’s used to be. That was the Mecca for everything Chaska Hawks. I remember as kids, we used to save up our allowance and ride our bikes to Wally’s to buy these amazing purple wristbands we convinced ourselves that we needed to wipe the sweat off our faces on a hot summer day, but really, we just thought we looked cool wearing them.

In closing, I just want to say how honored I feel to be able to make and sell apparel for the team that I dreamed of playing for as a little boy. And also, how unapologetically proud I am to say that I’ve never left the town I grew up in. We hope you love these designs as much as we do!

Chad built us a new coffee table, which led to completely emptying our living room, scrubbing everything, updating our rug, vacuuming under the couch cushions, and now I have a bug to just rearrange the whole house 🤣 If you’re feeling the same, we have some new furniture in store to refresh your spaces too!
