We’ve made some changes to our auto-belays! We’ve added a backup/second clip to our system in order to prevent the webbing from retracting all the way to the ceiling. The backup/secondary clip should always be the FIRST thing you attach to your harness and the LAST thing coming off of your harness. The carabiner attached to the end of the webbing and the backup/secondary clip both attach to your belay loop simultaneously. Feel free to ask the desk if you have any questions!

As a Shift Leader at The Gravity Vault you will oversee the smooth operation of the front desk, ensure that safety standards are being met out on the climbing floor, and provide guidance to instructors. The Shift Leader is also responsible for completing key “behind the scenes” tasks to assist the rest of the management team in their daily operations. This is a part time position requiring 20 – 30 hours of work depending upon the applicant’s availability.

Job Responsibilities Include:
-Overseeing the facility operation and flow of activities
-Managing instructors
-Keeping staff on task during our evening hours
-Providing top notch customer service
-Assisting staff in closing/cleaning the gym in a timely manner
-Taking bookings and final payments for events and large groups
-Creating promotional materials as needed

Requirements:
-Prior experience in a retail or fitness environment
-Strong customer service skills
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Strong leadership skills
-Weekday afternoon/evening availability as well as Saturday availability
