Our goal is provide meaningful worship services for families with children from birth - fifth grade
The good one this weekend... Except for parents of babies 😅
Daylight saving ends this weekend. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday. Service times are Saturday at 5:30 and Sunday at 9 & 11. See you in service!
Last chance to sign up for our Child Dedication Orientation!
Interested in dedicating your child on stage at a weekend service? Sign up for our next Child Dedication Orientation class on Sunday, October 27 during the 11am service! We'll be discussing the heart behind dedications and how RPK partners with parents as they raise their children for Christ.

All October in 1-5th grade is about Self-Control, but God's way in His strength! Check out the slides to get inspiration on how to connect what's happening on the weekend with rhythms you already have in place at home.
There are a lot of choices that we need to make in life. Some of those choices can help us grow and shape us positively. Others can pull us in different directions, leaving us struggling to figure out which choice is best. What do we do when we're confronted with all of these choices? Do we rush ahead? Or do we pause and let God lead us toward the best way to act? Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. It's one of the ways we can tell that God is transforming our lives and that we're growing in our faith. Thankfully, we don't have to find self-control on our own. When we follow Jesus, God's Spirit is with us and helps us make the wise choice.
This month we will take home the truth that transformation by the power of God's Spirit is transforming my unique and imperfect life into the character of Jesus. As we follow Jesus, His love transforms us. His Spirit helps us show self-control. We can follow Jesus' example and choose to do what's best-even when we don't want to. This month we will define self-control as choosing to do what's best even when you don't want to. We will be coaching our leaders to think through the whole array of the different abilities and needs of kids in this stage, and the goal is progress not perfection.
It may be 90 degrees but those fall pumpkins won't pick themselves! Come join us for fall grade hang fun this Saturday at Underwood Family Farms! Find us at the Dining Pavilion (in the back, near the exit) at 9:30am to grab a snack and say "Howdy!"
We will be holding a "pre-sale" for families for discounted tickets. If you register with us by October 10th RPK will offset the cost so that it is only $15 a ticket, otherwise it can be up to $30 at the door. Your confirmation of the pre-purchased ticket will give you details on how to pick those up before entry to the farm. Please make sure to purchase a ticket for everyone in your party who is 2 years of age or older. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected]
The link to register is also on our page https://www.rockypeak.org/ministries/kids/
October in RPK in Nursery-Kindergarten!
If you've ever been near a playground when an airplane flies by, you know the sound of the airplane is quickly followed by the sound of kids shouting with excitement! Their innate sense of wonder is immediately turned up as they ask questions like: Where do you think that plane is going? How big is that plane? How can it fly so high in the sky?
Today, our preschoolers will go to places like school, daycare, church, and grandparents' houses. We know God has plans for each of them, and as they grow, they will go to even more places that might be even further away. We want to make sure that wherever they go, they can look to God with a trusting heart and say, "Let's fly!" because they know God is always with me. ❤️
Check out the slides for ideas on how to take what's happening at church and make it connect with rhythms that are already happening in your homes.
New theme coming in for 1-5th grade!
Think back to a time when someone made time for you. Maybe that looked like caring for you when you were sick, or teaching you how to tie your shoe, making food for you, or teaching you how to read or learn a new skill. No matter what it is, when people make time for us, it can bring us joy. It’s like a light shining on a dark day. Caring for one another isn’t always the easy thing to do, but it certainly is what Jesus asks of us.
When Jesus gave the command in Matthew 5 to let our light shine, it wasn’t just to bring joy into each other’s lives, but also to bring glory to God. We are reflections of Who God is, and as we “Live Bright” this month, we’ll discover exactly how we can shine God’s light.
New theme for September in Birth-Kindergarten starts this weekend!
In 1967, a new toy was introduced to the world, and on the box were these words: Create Beautiful Pictures With . . . Light.
It was the LiteBrite®! The LiteBrite was an instant hit and has remained such a favorite for all these years that families are still having fun making pictures with light.
This month, we're talking about a different kind of bright light. We're talking about THE light that God sent into the world to shine bright for all the world to see. And THIS light has a name. His name is Jesus! Each time we choose to love like Jesus, we become a bright light. Just like each LiteBrite peg lights up to make a picture, each and every act of love is a bright light that makes a beautiful picture for the world to see Jesus.
Happy weekend RPK 🙌 We love seeing kids serving with their families!
Keep an eye out for our monthly email going out this week with all the information about what's coming up for fall in RPK.
Whether you started last week, today, or not yet...
Whether you are at home school, charter school, or public school...
God's got you and your family!
We pray that your fall is full of family rhythms that help you create a home where God is the number one priority! We are cheering you on today!
We LOVE the definition we will be sharing with 1-5th grade kids for August's theme in wisdom- so straight and to the point! We define wisdom in elementary as finding out what you should do, and then doing it!
As adults we know however that it can take a lifetime to even find out what you should do! Sometimes it's easy to know what the wise choice would be. Let's say you're choosing between having expired milk with your cereal or eating some fruit and a sandwich. You probably aren't reaching for the milk! What about choosing to stay up all night when you have a road trip the next day, or getting some sleep because you're driving first? Every decision you make starts with a choice. As we "dive deep" into the Bible this month, we'll discover that God is always there to help us make wise choices. God has given us people who can help us make those wise choices too.
Remember, the best way to connect what is happening on the weekend with what is happening at home is our take-home God Time Cards. Each child has a chance to start a rhythm that can last a lifetime of thinking about the relevance and their relationship to God outside of the weekend church service. This month guide the conversation to help your family think about true wisdom developed by God. Swipe to get some inspiration.
Have you ever watched a cooking show where kids are doing the cooking? They are SO creative! A little of this and a little of that and voila! A culinary delight! Now imagine God creating each and every person . . . even more creative, right? Two brown eyes, some curly black hair, and a splash of freckles. Then, God adds a dash of compassion, a spoonful of kindness, a large cup of creativity . . . and voila! This August in Birth - Kindergarten it is all about how God made us!
Psalm 139:14 says, "How you made me is amazing and wonderful." God made me wonderful! God made you wonderful. God made every person on the planet wonderful!
Our prayer for preschoolers is that they will know that God made us, God loves us, and Jesus wants to be our friend forever. We're cooking up a lot of fun to go with these foundational truths. We hope this month leaves you and your preschoolers smiling with confidence as you look into a mirror because you know that God made me wonderful!

his love endures forever.

We ready to party all June long in Nursery-Kindergarten!
Everyone loves a party because parties mean we have something to celebrate. Birthdays, Christmas, a winning season-each party brings so much joy!
This month, we are going to start a party that celebrates the Good News about God! And when God is at the center of our celebration, I can have joy all the time! It doesn't sound possible, at first, but then when we think about God . . . who God is . . . what God has done . . . how much God loves us . . . well, that is worth celebrating! God is worth celebrating! All day, every day! So let's Start The Party! It's time to celebrate the Good News about God.
