Trey Nelms State Farm Agent

Trey has been our fearless leader for 5 years. He started with State Farm 10 years ago with another local agent. Five years ago, he decided to build his business from the ground up using people first business practices. He is happily married to his lovely wife Amanda and dog dad to a good boy named Jackson. Trey has never met an office plant that he cannot kill so the tree in his office is plastic. He and Amanda enjoy traveling in their free time and he always has a great restaurant recommendation.

The hammers have been here, and demolition has been completed. New walls coming soon!

Meghan is the newest addition to the team. She has an adventurous spirit, living in three very different parts of the country but last year she moved back to Tennessee from Colorado with her daughter Violet and dog Duncan. She is an old soul and the 40’s music station is her go to. She loves to read, bake, cook, and garden. Jaws is her all-time favorite movie. Ba dum, ba dum… A self-proclaimed tea hoarder, (it’s her English descent) her idea of a perfect afternoon is a cup of tea, a good book, Miles Davis on the stereo, and a thunderstorm. She loves to travel and has plans to take her little one to Paris next spring to keep filling their passports.

Jake is being a good neighbor and supporting a local business. Today he is at Chattanooga Salt Cavern hanging out with owner Rachel.

Gregg has lived one heck of a life. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1965-1971. He has literally “been there and done that”. He has lots of stories to tell enjoys a good conversation. When Gregg isn’t at the office he can be found on his boat or enjoying some good BBQ with his friends. Gregg is a father of 4 grown kids, and a grandfather to 5 granddaughters and when they get together, they eat their dessert first. There is no one that Gregg can’t put at ease with gentlemanly ways and sense of humor. Gregg has a generous heart, he helps organize a Christmas bag ministry each year to provide toys and Christmas cheer to the local community. Gregg also enjoys riding his motorcycle and playing golf with his friends and customers.

We are moving! Demolition and construction are about to start on our team’s new office home. Coming soon is a great new space in the same neighborhood. It comes complete with a private parking lot and only one small step instead of a full flight of stairs. We are very excited to bring you along on our construction journey and look forward to being able to give you a tour once it’s done!

Emily is our resident Georgia peach and Hufflepuff. She loves horses and her gentle giant of a dog June. Emily was a competitive barrel racer and rode in the rodeo circuit for several years growing up. So, this literally isn’t her first rodeo. She is an avid reader and loves curling up in a cozy hoodie and reading a good book or four. Her happy place is on the back of a horse following a trail through the woods wearing one of her beloved pairs of cowboy boots. Wyoming and Montana are two of her favorite places on earth and she spends time there whenever she gets a chance.

Jordan has been with the team for 3 years but has 6 years with State Farm under his belt. He is our resident nomad, having lived in Louisiana, Texas, Michigan and now Tennessee. He’s happily married to his wife and longtime partner Dominique, and they just got back from their Honeymoon in Vancouver, BC. Now we’re having to persuade him to stay in town because the hiking and scenery was just too incredible to pass up. Outside of helping people here in the office, in his spare time he loves reading comics, being the #1 dog dad to his pup Elvis, digging through crates of old records at the local shops, hiking up and down the surrounding areas to chase waterfalls, and cooking the meanest Cajun food this side of the Mississippi.

In honor of Independence Day our office will be closed July 4th and 5th. We will return with normal business hours Monday July 8th. We wish you a safe and happy holiday as we remember what our great nation was founded on!
