This is life, the exact same location within the same week, looks and feels very differently. But life has taught me whether sunshine or stormy weather, I have to keep showing up with a positive attitude and give my best effort to master the day! I don’t always get it right, but each day is a new opportunity!
Gif Bless You!

Today with our mothers!
I fly to Atlanta to see my nutritionist and General Practitioner. He made a statement today that is a part of my mission in life to address.
He is white, and he asked me why does the black community not understand that you are being targeted for poor healthcare outcomes?
He mentioned access to quality food, affordable healthcare and physicians who are highly qualified and care are not so prominent in minority communities.
Meanwhile, he gave me the attached list of foods I can eat as I work towards my personal health goals. I am sharing in hopes it will help you.
I personally believe that the African American community is impacted significantly (disproportionately) but there is a consistent attempt to impact any community that is economically disadvantaged and has multiple socioeconomic factors that impact education, general safety and family stability.
It is my goal not to harp on the facts that we all know are true about the problem. I want to be a resource and provide resources in the area of healthcare and economic development.
I desire to partner with community development partners to change the mindset of any community the has a zeal for a better way!
No excuses, be the change is my philosophy. What are you thoughts?
Change always starts with us personally!
Dear God, I understand that my results in life are a reflection of my commitment. I must be accountable for my actions or lack of action.
If I want more in life I must commit to a different set of behaviors consistently with focus and intentionality towards my desired goals.
I also know it’s not too late for me to create a better life for myself and my family. It’s never too late!
A part of my life’s journey is to write journals to be shared with my children’s at least 100 years.
My sister journaled most of her life and her husband and children are so grateful as they read her thoughts. It’s like she talks to them everyday and they can go back to her words for counseling and encouragement.
Have you ever thought about writing your thoughts for others? FB is one way of sharing, but it is controlled by someone else.
How would your spouse feel if you took the time to hand write them a letter and mail it to them?
What about your children?
What about your parent(s)?
I still write to my great grandmother and talk to her and she has been dead for 50 years …literally. But she kept me as a baby until she died when I was 4. I remember her face and her praying for me. She shared her spirit with me and I remember her. She was 84 when I was born, 88 when she passed in 1974. Her life still had great value at 84-88!
Writing down your thoughts are so important. Your life is not just for you and your family. We are all part of a universal collective that need the lives and support from anyone that will give it with the right intent.
I write to my ancestors I have never met and ask them questions about life and for guidance. We are all energy and energy can not be created or destroyed, it changes form.
If you have lost a love one, write them a letter. It is freaking amazing how much that can help you. Sometimes you will cry from your soul. Sometimes you will laugh and get wisdom. You may even get mad at them. I still have a scar on my head where my sister hit me with a drum stick😂. She was 4…but you will feel much better as their spirit will comfort you!
Even in my post, I thanked my great grandmother, my eyes teared for my sister and within seconds I was laughing.
Death is not the end…it’s a new and different relationship. Just like our trials and tribulations, they are not the end, just a new relationship you are forming with yourself.
To all those we have lost…we love you, miss you and appreciate the life you shared.🙏🏾
I feel better now ….Ahhhh!
I collect data on many different things in healthcare as to how people feel and what’s most important to people in various situations, education and other factors.
How would you rank the following things based on your age group?
1) S*x
2) Financial Stability
3) General Health
Which age group are you in?
A) Under 50
B)50 to 59
C) 60 to 70
D) 70+
Respond with number order and letter of age group. I will do a drawing for $50 gift card next Saturday for your participation.
Please share with others. I need this for a study I am doing that is due at the end of the month.
Thanks
Very grateful for my father. Not only has he been my best friend for life, he has always taken care of my mother and has made sure she will be good for the rest of her life.
We laugh and talk. He always shares infinite wisdom and things I never knew about him. Today we talked about what it was like the day he arrived in Vietnam. At 19 he was fighting in a war with my mom back home with and infant…me! I am 54 and they have been married 54 years.
He is 74 still planting his garden, cuts the grass, hand washes the cars and serves as my mothers person man servant. But do need him to stay off that 10 ft ladder trying to cut branches.
I have spent over a decade doing something I enjoy doing that I had no idea I was interested in doing.
What I have learned from being a business owner is that it’s not the business, it’s the love I have for people that I did not know was in me.
I always believed I was an introvert, didn’t like being around people or speaking in public. I forgot that at the age of 13 I was the Superintendent of Sunday School and my elementary teachers would always wrote notes that he is smart but he talks too much.😂
I wonder how many of my friends and associates are operating in a space of working in a field they don’t like, borderline hate. Honestly life is too short for that!
I jumped ship from a six figure income multiple times to start from scratch on commission. I bet on ME and the fact that my mother once told me I could do anything I wanted to do if I focused…I believed her.
I wanted to encourage someone today to know that it’s not to late to do anything you want in life. I will be 55 2/28 and I have a greater belief in my future than I ever before
However; I am clear that I must focus on my physical health, mental health, emotional intelligence, intentional relationships, spiritual and personal development. I am mixing that with spending more time with my family, a dash of faith and a heaping handful of hardwork. That is what I call my success gumbo.
If no one has told you lately, I believe in you! You matter! You are a valuable and important part of humanity and we all want and need for you to be the best version of yourself!👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Better health is our mission. Access to better healthcare for our community is our ministry!
