So much done. So much more to go.
Guard is fit up on this small knife.
Learning something new today from my shopmate.

Kitchen utility with g10 and big leaf maple handle.
The last knife for order for quite some time to come. The day job has been keeping me busy and this is my first time back in the shop in 2 months. Going to continue to be busy with baby #2 coming in a month - month and a half, but I should be able to get back in the forge a bit more.
Edge tested and approved.
Peak at the pattern coming through.
Day job has been keeping me busy for the last while but I'm going to *ring* in the new year by forging some damascus.
2 bar twist damascus hunter with Indonesian rosewood handle. This has been a very busy Fall and I haven't had the time I'd like to be in the shop.
More progress. Work is slow because the day job is not.
Needs more. More hand sanding. More etching.
Finally getting some work done again.
Thermal cycling.
Forgot to get a picture of the restack and welding, but here is that two bar twist damascus as a hunter. Two of these on the way.
Rough grinding complete.
A little bowie action while I think through steps for the dagger.
Forged a new guard for the new dagger. I started with too much material, unfortunately. Know for next time. Now for an extended session on the mill.
Welded and tapered.
A little more progress on the new dagger. Welded the threading onto the tang.
Forgot to post progress from the other day. Here is that stack of 13 layers drawn out and twisted. Next up for this is grinding clean, cutting, and stacking for multi-bar pattern.
Sandwiching a few layers this morning.
And this is why we made a second dagger. Messed up.
And now some locator pins...
