Happy Earth Day Paddlers!! As we continue to use our waterways for Dragon Boating, let’s continue to help out by making sure we leave nothing behind and picking up trash as we find it. We only get one earth, we need to protect her!

DIRECTIONS TO CDBC:

Our boat is at Lakeshore Marina 5600 Lake Resort Terrace Chattanooga, TN 37415 (Chickamauga Dam)

From I75N or S take Exit 4 Chickamauga Dam/Airport. As you travel on Hwy 153 take the Access Road Exit and go through the roundabouts towards Lake Resort Drive. Travel on Lake Resort Drive and take a right (there will be a gas station as your turn) onto Lake Resort Terrace.

Take the first right and go into the Marina, if you pass the Lake Shore Restaurant (it will be on your right) you have gone too far, turn around and go back and take the 1st turn on your left. Follow the road that goes down and takes a sharp left turn. The boat storage house will be on your left as you travel down and around it and you will then turn right and be in the parking lot by the water. Park there!

So great meeting so many future paddlers at the outdoor event this past weekend! We will be kicking the season off April 15th. We are asking that people try to show up around 5:30 to fill out waivers, etc. We plan to get on the water by 6 PM. Stay tuned for more info!

This month is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month! Before you say you can’t, think of all of the amazing people in this world who are missing a limb or have a limb that is not 100% that DO IT!! Olympians, Athletes. Hikers, Runners, Doctors…anyone can do it if they want to. I am always in awe of people I see playing sports,kayaking, and complete dragon boat teams that are missing limbs. So powerful!!

Paddles Up to all of our fellow Dragon Boaters who have lost a limb and continue to compete so fiercely!!
