The sustainable agriculture class work on cleaning up around the farm, putting together, seedling tables and starting seeds for fall crops last week. Can’t wait to see what we’re going to get done tomorrow.

Update on Thatcher Farm. If you have driven past the farm site this year you have seen it all over grown and in disrepair. Unfortunately, Southern’s Administration does not see the value or need for an on campus farm and shut the farm down at the end of last year. We harvested the crops that my agriculture class had planted and are in the process of moving equipment and the tunnel to my personal farm. The agriculture class INDIV 350 -A Sustainable Agriculture, is still happening with students coming to Red Clay Farm for the lab portion of the class.

Classes start Monday 26th of August and it looks like we will have a great class for this fall semester. Looking forward to learning a lot with them. If you’re interested in taking the class I still have room and would be happy to have you join us. Message me for more details. Thanks
