I started teaching several years before having babies but once I had my own children the lens I saw the world through was instantly different. Any parent reading this knows that immediate change.
My number one goal is to teach not only my children, but as many others as possible, how to go inward and find comfort in stillness. That’s where we really get the answers, that’s where we find our truest selves.

Art time is beyond fun during Balance Studios Science + Art & Yoga camp at Girls Preparatory School!

In my happy place teaching 33 mini yogis in Balance camp at Girls Preparatory School this week.

You know your mom is a yoga teacher when you pose like this for a family picture.

While I was on the verge of feeling overwhelmed I knew I needed to take a moment in Savasana. I was really wanting a movement practice so I could let go of all the noise around me but I knew if I could only get a few minutes in then finding total stillness would serve me better. My middle dude took this picture and was so proud to show me. After I saw it I realized how many different thoughts came to mind.
• How lucky am I to have a practice where I know when to take a moment to go inward.
• Even though it was probably only 3 minutes, it served me so well and I’m beyond thankful.
• As the baby, 5 year old & 7 year old were running around and dumping all the baskets out- I remained grateful to be able to be still and find gratitude.
• How in the world are my mini humans big enough to take such a framed picture??
• There’s a lot that we don’t have that I ~think~ I want, but everything we do have is plenty.
• Both sides of my family and my husband’s are in town and we get to see everyone without traveling.
• Our home is perfect in every way.
• My husband is beyond amazing and I should tell him more.
• My children are my EVERYTHING and I will do absolutely anything for the rest of my life so they know how much they are loved.
• How do people survive this crazy world without a practice like yoga or meditation?
• My heart is heavy for the East.
• My heart is heavy for all the children and families who are without love and loved ones surrounding them, especially during holidays.
• How can I help those people feel more loved and seen?
• How did just a few minutes serve me so well?

☀️This little guy loves GPS summer camps so much and when he heard there was a Halloween party he was over the moon excited! 🤰I’m so happy to have a daughter on the way so she can come here one day.
