MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Lea Anne Wiles - In honor of MLK Day, we want to spotlight one of our members who spreads joy throughout the community through a variety of volunteer and service activities.

Lea Anne is an enthusiastic community member with decades of experience in a wide variety of settings - as a former pharmacist and in other healthcare settings, as a teen mom and advocate, as a small business owner, and through volunteer service with organizations that help women, children and teens, and therefore whole communities, live their best lives.

Dr. Wiles graduated locally from Hixson High School, before completing a pre-pharmacy curriculum at Chattanooga State Community College. She then earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of TN College of Pharmacy in Memphis TN. No longer practicing pharmacy, she runs a small business from home, and serves numerous organizations and committees, including the Mayor's Council for Women Health Committee, the Governing Board of Head Start Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank Development Committee, the Women's Fund of Greater Chattanooga, the League of Women Voters, on the Executive Committee of the Hamilton County Democratic Party, and she enjoys being a member of the Chattanooga Medical Alliance.

When not serving her community, Lea Anne stays busy building her business, and she and her husband, Dr. David Wiles, enjoy being foodies, and love to travel to see their kids, grandkids and the world!

Chattanooga Medical Alliance collected a trunk load of snacks yesterday for the Forrest Spence Fund which were delivered to TC Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger today. THANK YOU to all who contributed!

Chattanooga Medical Alliance is excited to present the Fall into Fashion Show, Marketplace and Luncheon at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club on October 27, 2022 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event is sponsored by Real Estate Partners LLC and proceeds will support scholarships for local nursing students at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Chattanooga State.

"Sip and shop" at the marketplace begins at 11:00am featuring booths from local boutiques and businesses such as Danshire Market, Alchemy Spa, and Bud and Floral.

The luncheon and fashion show will highlight fashions from local boutiques: Antibes, The Blue Collection (Alice Blue, Electric Blue, Hanover Blue), Embellish, and Irma Marie. Noted designer Hilton Hollis will emcee the event.

Valet parking and a cash bar will be available.

Member Spotlight: Milli Yium Meet Milli! The kindest woman you’ll ever meet! Milli and her husband, Jackson, moved to Chattanooga in 1973. Both Milli and Jackson have contributed greatly to the Chattanooga medical community. Jackson is a retired a Nephrologist and started the Renal program at UTCOM. Milli did the first successful dialysis at Erlanger, and assisted with the first kidney transplant at Erlanger. She also opened a private practice in Clinical Psychology, in 1982 and was the only practice doing medical psychological therapy for clients with chronic illness. Some fun facts: Milli was raised on a large cotton farm in rural southeast MO where she picked and chopped cotton at a very young age. As a bicycle enthusiast, she has done biking tours on 5 continents. Milli loves flying, but has retired her pilot’s license. And that is just the beginning of the wonderful experiences Milli has to share with us!
