As a CNA at a hospital. It is my job to take vitals and inform the on staff nurses of any significant changes in a resident. Wether that be a drop or a huge increase in BP, or even a new bed sore suddenly appear. It can even be something as huge as them not breathing. Bottom line is. As the one who primarily spends half her time in their room it is my job to inform them of these changes.

Which I can't do if I am not wearing my glasses. Without my glasses I could spend hours in a patients room and never notice that their hand has turned black and fallen off. Without my glasses what may be a barely moving chest would come across as them not breathing at all. Causing me to think i need to preform CPR when really I may just need to inform the nurses and get them on oxygen.
My glasses can be the very difference between me getting a patient help in time or not. They could very well be the difference between life and death.

So too can the Glasses of Christ be the difference between life and death. When we wear the glasses of Christ. Also known as the Gospel. We have a better understanding of the world around us.

In this day in age where good becomes evil and evil becomes good. That understanding and clarity offered by the savior is priceless. Its a clarity that can never truly be replicated anywhere but in the Gospel.

The world as we know it is constantly changing and shifting. With new trials. New dangers and new temptations. Thats why its important to always have the Spirit as our constant companion. To help us see what the devil will have attempted to muddle.

I know when we put on the glasses of Christ and turn to the Savior our trials will be easier to bear. I say this in Jesus holy name Amen.
