Tomorrow, November 2nd from 2 to 4 come see us and let’s welcome November with some delicious French cider!

It was in 1919, upon returning from the First World War, that Jules Desfrièches (whom everyone already called Père Jules), in love with apples and his region, decided to make his passion his profession. Orphaned, raised by his grandparents, themselves lovers of Normandy’s riches, he learned how to make cider alongside them and sold it around his home. Appreciated for its quality, “Jules Desfrièches” cider is increasingly consumed in restaurants in the region. In 1923, he distilled his first Calvados; without knowing it he was going to be at the origin of an institution.

AVIGNONESI Italian Wines - Organic & Biodynamic winery located in Tuscany, South of Florence.
There's do much good this winery is doing, that it is too much to say here--but we hope you join us as we taste through their core line, including a Rosé (not pictured), Cantaloro Blend, Rosso, Nobile di Montepulciano (100% Sangiovese), and an incredible Tuscan (50/50 Cabernet-Sangiovese).

This Friday, October 18th, from 5-7pm, come out to Imbibe to learn how to take your Old Fashioned to the next level. Bitter Bottle, a Chattanooga company, will be featuring their delicious and unique cocktail bitters.

For starters we will be pouring the sparkling brut version of our popular Sauvignon Blanc, Les Anges. Followed by a crisp Albariño from Rias Baixas, an unaged Tempranilo, a 6-month aged Tempranillo, and a show-stopping Cabernet-Syrah blend by Bodegas Finca la Estacada.

Famille Perrin

Famille Perrin has been making wine for 5 generations with organic, biodynamic, and sustainable farming practices since the 1950's. They have been pioneers of such practices in the Rhône region. They now farm 300 hectares organically, and their family of wines is extensive-- from their humble La Vieille Ferme wines to the flagship Chateau du Beaucastel.
Our tasting will comprise the core line, from the Reserve Rose and Blanc, the organic labeled "Nature," and their succulent Cotes du Rhône Villages.

Selections from Germany, Austria, and Hungary

You may recognize some of these wines as having regular homes on our shelves, but the newest joiners come from Peter Wetzer, farmer and winemaker in Northwest Hungary, previously Burgenland, on the border of Austria. We will be sampling his Kekfrankos/Blaufrankisch and Pinot Noir - both farmed by hand, organically, and vinified with minimal intervention and no sulfites added.

Our tasting will also include Sparkling Rose, a Grüner Veltliener, and Red Blend similar to Beaujolais.
