🕊️Why the rebrand?

As much as I appreciate all that we’ve built in the AKD brand, it’s time for a change. I wanted the brand to feel more down to earth, curated, and personalized. Aside from our new brand identity, here are the changes we are making within the business:

🤎We will be offering brand development, graphic design and social media content creation and management packages (video will not be included at this time). We will no longer offer web design, but we will continue to host and manage websites for our current clients.

🤎We will only work with one client at a time for brand development services. Developing a brand is a highly personalized experience, and we have learned that these projects require 1 on 1 attention and dedication.

🤎We will only work with 5 social media clients at a time to ensure we focus on providing high quality, thoroughly researched, and intensely strategized services.

My original vision for AKD was to keep it small, and it ended up growing far beyond what I’d ever imagined. This rebrand will allow us to stay intentional, keeping the business boutique and personalized, allowing us specialized time with each client.

I also wanted to stay true to the truest part of myself: my Catholic faith. Omnia in Latin means “everything”, a tribute to God Our Creator, Who is everything and from whom all good things come. It will be part of Omnia’s mission to distribute this good. 5% of our profits will go toward nonprofits in line with all that is good, true, and beautiful.

This rebrand will take some time, so you will still see AKD on invoices and contracts if you are a current client. and I will be documenting our work and our new journey . On behalf of Kes and myself, I’d like to thank all of our past and current clients for everything they’ve done to help build AKD, now Omnia, into the boutique agency it is today. Thank you for allowing us to live our dreams. We hope you stay with us on this journey!

I can’t believe our marriage is almost a teenager. It’s been an incredible journey so far. We made it through one of our hardest years yet, but even still, it’s been so easy loving you.

Here’s to many more years of inside jokes, parenting our wild man, movies where I fall asleep in the first 20 minutes, jigsaw puzzles and Wheel of Fortune because we’re actually 80, and loving God and working to get each other to Heaven.

We LOVED working with on the logo design and style guide for her new practice, Growing Families Chiropractic!

Shayla (a VERY gifted chiropractor) came to us with a very specific vision for her logo. She knew that she wanted her children’s birth month flowers incorporated into the logo, and purple and yellow were very important colors for her.

From there, went to work! She designed these beautiful primary and secondary logos that Shayla can use in different ways.

When designing logos, we always make sure we aren’t just designing for form - we’re designing for function. Kes made sure she asked Shayla what she would be using the logos for to ensure we have a version that would fit her needs.

I will never hide the like counts on my post.

And here’s why 👇🏻

Before I tell you my thought process, I just want to say that this is in no way a judgment of anyone who decides to do this for their mental health. I 💯get it.

However, for me, as someone who owns an agency that creates social media content, I feel wrong doing it.

Why?

Because in our industry, part of the problem is we don’t set realistic expectations for our clients.

SO much of social media strategy is constantly A/B testing, learning what works and what doesn’t, then leaning into what works until it doesn’t anymore, then we start ALL over again.

In other words, not every post is going to be a winner - and believe it or not, that’s OKAY.

Since we really don’t have a ton of transparency on any social platform’s algorithm - except for when its CEOs throw us a bone here and there - we have to test and check, constantly research, and stumble a little bit sometimes before we can run.

THIS is all normal.

Even my own content tanks sometimes.

My highest performing content has 42.6k likes and 917k views.

But I also have content that has 16 likes and 1k views.

I won’t hide my metrics from you because we as social media managers and content creators need to be honest about the ebb and flow of content creation.

Bottom line? Learn from your content that does (AND doesn’t) land. You’ll have a better strategy for it!

Whew, where to begin.

What started as a freelancing business with a baby on my lap has become a 6-figure agency, with 3 wonderful employees, a team of skilled contractors, and an incredible group of clients we’re so beyond blessed to have served.

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart - that I will say.

We didn’t get to this 4th birthday without a ton of sleepless nights, boat loads of anxiety, exhaustion, and tears, obstacles , misdirections, and big fat GIANT mistakes.

But we also didn’t get to this fourth birthday without a ton of support. We are so grateful for our families, friends, and clients that make this wild rollercoaster ride of ups and downs worth every. single. second.
