MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
It was a wonderful morning with our 1st ever Christmas Family Skate!!!
We also had visits from Santa and the Grinch! And a mini snow storm!!!

I see you hockey mama.
I see you still running rink to rink.
I see you popping into the nearest mall to get that last stocking stuffer.
I see you hustling into the grocery store during practice to get some Christmas necessities and driving that cart like a racecar.
I see you gift wrapping, card writing and cookie baking.
I see you trying to clean your house in between it all, making sure there is clean laundry, and oh...don't forget...showing up at work!
I see you hockey mama.
I also know you probably feel a little (lot!) tired and possibly overwhelmed while also feeling excited about Christmas. I know you are trying to look forward to socializing like a normal adult and having a little break with your family.
So take a breath hockey mama. Stop and take it all in. Your little hockey player isn't going to be little for long. These years won't last forever.
Maybe it hasn't been a perfect year. Maybe you have struggled to scrape the money together for everything your hockey player wanted for Christmas. Maybe relationships are strained. Maybe your house is a mess and you feel like it is all falling apart.
But remember hockey mama, no matter what...remember that YOU stood in that freezing cold rink, day after day, week after week cheering for your hockey player. You spent hours (and money you didn't have) driving him or her all over God's creation. You got them supper at 9 p.m. at night, made endless peanut butter sandwiches, and lugged a hockey bag to and from your car more times than you ever thought possible.
You used your last bit of energy to get them to bed on time because they had a big game the next day. You wiped their tears and held them up when they were disappointed, cheered and congratulated them when they were hockey playing superstars.
You did it ALL. In whatever form that was. Whatever way that worked for you, your family and your sweet, precious hockey player. It might not have been how I did it. It might not have been how the hockey mama standing next to you did it.
But YOU DID IT. And you did it well. You were awesome. You were a complete rockstar.
So STOP hockey mama. Put on your fuzzy jammies, pour yourself a glass of wine, sit in front of your fire, stare at those beautiful Christmas lights and just know that you are amazing. You are loved. And you are enough.

Picture day is this upcoming weekend - times are listed below and also on your team's TeamSnap calendar.
Please note ALL players must be dressed and lined up at the start of their teams scheduled time to ensure that their photo is taken. There are 250+ players getting their photo taken, and a small window of time for each team.
Please do not ask for exceptions or changes. Both individual player photos and a group team photo will be taken.

*Please note - Neck guards are mandatory while players are on the ice, but not necessary to be worn for/during pictures. Following their photos all players MUST put them on before they go on the ice for their practice or game.

🦃 Year 5 brought the most donations to date!
215 “pack-a-bag” bags, and the collection bin full of extra donation items for the Resurrection Life Food Pantry Thanksgiving Food Drive!
Great work Regals!!!
Congratulations to 12U Maier for winning the charity game in December for the second year in a row by donating the most bags!!! They had 50+!!!
Honorable mention to 16U Riso who brought in close to 30 bags! The second most from any team in the organization!!!

Tomorrow is the day for the Buffalo Regals House League first ever - MEAT RAFFLE to benefit the teams in the House Program - being held tomorrow - Saturday, November 11, 2023.

This is the one fundraiser that is being held this year for the House Program and it directly benefits each player and family - by keeping the program costs affordable, allowing proper training equipment to be provided to the volunteer coaches/ teams, and covers extra activities held throughout the season.

Last night’s Skate or Treat kicked off the start of our collection! In addition to the “PACK A BAG” Thanksgiving Bags filled with listed items- The Buffalo Regals are looking for additional non-perishable donations for the Resurrection Life Food Pantry which is a designated high capacity/high priority emergency food relief organization providing first time emergency food to households throughout WNY. Continued support is provided for households struggling with food insecurity in our focus service areas of Cheektowaga NY and chronically homeless veterans throughout WNY connected with the VA’s HUD-VASH program
A collection bin is currently in place in the main entrance of Holiday.
