FDA warns against unapproved 'fat-dissolving' spa treatments People have reported severe side effects, such as scarring, infections and skin deformities, after using unauthorized fat-dissolving injections in their chins, arms and stomachs.

The FDA has issued a warning about rare Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Lymphomas found in the capsule (scar tissue) around breast implants. They noted 20 cases of SCC and encourage patients and physicians to be aware of these findings. They do not recommend implant removal for non symptomatic patients.
