Spring Run Vineyards

There were some nice grapes to be picked today, where were all my grape lovers? 😁 We had 1 customer to swing through for some jelly (thank you 😊).

Grapes shown are our Chambourcin grapes that we harvested this morning for some "Matt and Wendy" homemade Rosé. 😉

What's available for U-pick are our Villard (white grapes used to make our pepper jelly) and Catawba (think grape bubble gum, Welch's grape flavors). These grapes do have seeds and are best suited for producing grape juice, homemade wine or jelly. You can also freeze and toss into your smoothies - seeds add extra beneficial fiber. 🍇

We'll be open this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Aug. 28, 29 & 30) 9a- 12p (while grapes last) for our grape U-pick. $2.99 a pound. If you have a set of pruning shears please bring those and a bucket to transport your grapes home in. We'll have a few sets you can use and some plastic bags to transport if you forget or don't have the shears.

We'll also have small lots of blackberry, grape and pepper jelly for sale. Hope some of you can make it out. 😃🍇

Good morning y'all. 2 things. 1st, Matt and I want to thank you all for coming out to support 7 Lady Vineyards (and SRV in the process) at the pop-up Wine Down Wednesday they hosted out here last Wednesday. It was a beautiful evening with good wine, good food and good music. Matt and I also enjoyed being able to visit with some of you.

2nd, pending we can keep the wildlife away, the next item planned at SRV is we plan to have a U-pick for grapes. $2.99/lb Think jelly, juice and smoothies - or grapes to squish for any of you home wine makers. 😉 We hope to have some homemade jelly for sale as well. We're looking at a few picking dates mid to late next week. Stay tuned.

After I’m snipped off the branch, I’m swept away in a Pick-up to Common Wealth Crush Co., where our Winemaker and mastermind, Ben Jordan, works his magic to create this Governor’s Cup bronze medal wine. When I finally land in that sexy black bottle 8 months later, I have reached my full potential. On the nose, you’ll be transported to your childhood with the smell of honeysuckle. On the palate, you’ll be tickled with green apples, apricots, and bursts of bright citrus. Pair me with Chicken Tagine, a traditional Moroccan dish.

We threw you a slight "curve-ball", we know you have become accustomed to just showing up for Wine Down Wednesdays and ticket sales may feel a little cumbersome. However, please understand that this will be a new and exciting change having 7 Lady Vineyards here for Wine Down Wednesday. They want to be prepared and ensure they are bringing enough wine, beer, glasses, staff, etc. They want to make sure everything runs as smoothly as it possibly can so that everyone has an amazing time getting to experience the 7 Lady Vineyards wines and team for the first time!

I’m kindly asking that if you know you’ll be attending, to please purchase your tickets in advance on-line as soon as possible. It's simple and takes less than 5 mins. We have limited tickets to 350. If tickets are still available on August 14th, there will be an additional charge of $5 per person to buy them at the door. As always--SRV is kid & friendly. Both are permitted without needing a ticket 😊. We know they will be well behaved, leashed and picked up behind. (No leashes for the kids silly, but do have something to keep them entertained as this is a working farm with lots of ways to get hurt if they’re left to run around).

Come chill on the patio or in the yard with a bottle of 7 Lady Vineyards Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio or bubbly Brut Rosé while listening to the smooth sounds of the Saxophone/DMB vibe duo Shawn & Terrance. Hibachi Mobile will be here with their usual delicious cuisine. Perhaps you’ll choose to wash that down with 7LV’s Summer Red, or their Red Blend, or their award-winning Viognier made with their estate-grown grapes. Did I mention the frosé made with their Rosé ’22?For the beer drinkers we'll have a couple of options, too.

To provide a little background, Dover Hall’s Chad Hornik and Jeff Ottaviano are the vintners behind 7 Lady Vineyards.

7LV wines have won awards at Virginia’s Governors’ Cup, San Francisco International Wine Competition, and Sommeliers Choice. They’re building a west coast-style Tasting Room on the Dover Hall property but since that’s a year away, we thought it would be fun for them to try an “away game” here in Chesterfield. We hope you’ll grab some tickets, come out and give them a warm welcome.

Let’s show them how we do it on the Southside as the 7LV team introduces themselves to you and shares their wines. Please show 7LV the same love and warmth you’ve shown us over the years.

Surprise y'all! We held back enough red wine to make 30 gallons of our red sangria for our LAST...curbside pick-up...ever... 🍊🍎🍋 Order link below.

Prepared fresh and marinated 3 days with fresh oranges, apples and lemons. Refreshing over ice. Keeps refrigerated for at least a week. Can also POUR INTO a freezer zip lock bag, place in freezer and make sangria slushies. Good for months this way. You can also add your slushie to your blender, with a lil Tequilla and now you have a Sangarita. Pretty yummy, just sayin' 😎

Accepting orders now through pick-up day, Thursday June 27 between 3p - 6p.

We only have 68 of our 32 oz jugs, so you can order those while supplies last, $27. each. Otherwise, you can order 64 ounces & you'll bring in either an "official" clean 64 oz growler or (2) 32 oz growlers for $50. (save $4.) Note that it DOES NOT have to be an SRV growler.

On pick-up date, you'll just swing through, stay in car, and we'll hand off your order. For orders where you provide the growler, park and we'll grab and fill for you and bring to you.
