The Upland Chronicles
With our dogs in tow, chasing wild birds around Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, and more.
Our dogs left it all out on the field this weekend. Can’t ask for more.
Another very good friend of the UC, and his son with their young WPG, Callie in Kansas! There are a lot of future birds that are going to drop to this trio.
A little shameless self promotion here everyone -
is officially a with right here in Cheyenne Wyoming!
live in a stunningly beautiful state. With immense opportunity to hunt, fish, and stretch your legs. So, if you’ve seen are photos and thought “that looks like some place I’d like to live,” send us a message and Tim would be more than thrilled to help you become a Wyomingite too.
A very good friend of the UC, getting it done with his young dog Kooper! Nice work Kyle and Kooper! 👏🏻
We are late a few days but our boy Hank turned two! Like a fine wine he gets better with age and continues to be a wizard on any type of bird we put him on.
We’ve got that Friday feeling.
Last year was our first year on sage grouse and while we got one, this year was much more productive. Until you’ve seen a big mature male, I feel like you really haven’t seen a sage grouse. This year our boomer got a boomer. Or bomber. Whatever you want to call it, they’re huge. Photo doesn’t even do its size justice.
We got a little time in the elk woods yesterday. It still feels early and the animals still seem a little quiet, but it’s good to be back out there.
Hank in his element, looking good as always.
Hangman.
The birds are a little worse for wear, but they clean up really nicely in a hot skillet.
Day 1 double.
Our girl!
We can’t hunt birds all year! It’s time for some other fun.
We love to see pictures of our pups all grown up😍 visit UPLAND CHRONICLES on instagram for more photos.
If ya know, ya know as they say.
Happy 6 month birthday Jolene!
Hank, he never disappoints.
Miss Jolene is turning into one good looking lady, even when her ears don’t want to cooperate 😂
Houston, we have lift off.
The season is barely over and we’re already itching for September.
Well it was a heck of a season. We had some awesome highs and some crummy lows. We didn’t post as many photos as we wanted to. Our labs are close to retired and we have a 1 year old shorthair and a 5 month old wirehair to build on. Sometimes you just have to put the camera down and work. Cheers to next season!
