Today In Wyoming History--by Artizen Photo Printing--On this day in 1972 Fossil Butte National Monument, 15 miles west of Kemmerer, was established as a National Monument. It is a 13-square-mile area that preserves Fossil Butte, a flat-topped sedimentary rock formation. It was once part of Fossil Lake which existed 50 million years ago.

No robo printing in this shop. We like to talk to people. Canson has a new coating that increases the color gamut on Giclee prints. Not all of our papers are on the website. Canson's decision to improve their products is why we like their papers so much. Yes we have Hahnamule papers also for those of you that are set in your ways. True Giclee prints using Epson Ultrachrome HDX inks and the right papers Wilhelm has tested to last roughly 200 years for color and 400 years for black and white. LightJet prints an the other hand have a lifespan of roughly 60 years. This is why we chose true Giclee printing over lightjet. With our keepsake line (drylab prints) up to 8 x12 and our memory print line (wetlab prints) up to 40 x 60, 60 years is the average for a life span. These numbers are for properly cared for prints.

This is a Crystar miniature "Spy" camera, more famously known as a HIT Camera. They were produced in Japan during the post WWII economy of the 50's. These cameras served as a cheap photography alternative available to the general public. It actually works using a tiny 10 shot, 14mm x 14mm, paper-backed roll of film. They had a cheap shutter mechanism and fixed focus plastic lenses.
