But, so many of our problems begin when we start worrying what others think of us. Just remember that everyone is on a different level of understanding. Try to believe that when someone is hard on you it may have very little to do with you. People who are hard on others are usually very hard on themselves, and the pain they inflict on others is a reflection of the pain they inflict on themselves. But even knowing this does not make it easy.

When you are judged harshly or rejected, you have to be strong in your heart. You have to accept that you'll never be good enough for some people. Whether that is going to be your problem or theirs is up to you. Rejection is merely a redirection; a course correction to your destiny. You have to remember that God has a plan for you, and that plan has nothing to do with the opinions of others. God does not seek the opinions of others about your life. When we have been hurt we often shrink and run for safety. Don't allow others to make you feel small. You came to this world to grow and to explore and touch the miracles and marvels of life. Your suffering needs to be respected. Don't try to ignore the hurt, because it is real. Just let the hurt soften you instead of hardening you. Let the hurt open you instead of closing you. Let the hurt send you looking for those who will accept you instead of hiding from those who reject you.
