It’s time to pick up those books and dive into new adventures! The annual Wyoming Governor’s Summer Reading Challenge is back, launching on June 10th and running until August 22nd! Schools and students will be recognized for their participation and the total number of minutes their students read. The school with the most reading minutes per student will receive a special visit in Fall 2024 from Governor Mark Gordon, State Superintendent Megan Degenfelder, and a member of the Wyoming State Library team to celebrate their outstanding reading achievement.

We had a great last day! Pranking the principal’s office, scavenger hunt, and a water day at Fairview to celebrate Mr. Hayden’s retirement. Have a great summer, Falcons!

Kindergarten read the Diary of a Worm and Diary of a Spider books. They practiced writing their own diary entries and learned about how earthworms help the Earth. Today they celebrated with the Great Earthworm Races and had a dirt cup wormy snack! The worms have been placed in a cozy garden.

First grade enjoyed our virtual field trip to Disneyworld! This is become an annual first grade celebration!
Best quote of today…”This is better than Christmas! Don’t tell Santa!” 😂

Lebhart spent the afternoon exploring STEM centers and living outside! There was a dance party area, where we were entertained by our singers and dancers! The popsicles were going two and three at a time!
A special thank you to Letricia Wheeler (Zyion-in Mrs. Wehde’s class) for making and delivering cupcakes for our whole school! They were delicious and everyone loved them!

Mrs. Paul’s class lived their best rodeo lives today with some stick horse racing, practice roping, and a special guest cowboy! We have some natural cowboys and cowgirls!

Fairview’s annual egg drop was a blast!

Camping day in first and second grade! It was, “the best day!”

Bring $20 cash and we will trade you for a yearbook!

Third grade watermelon day! Watermelon, seed counting and spitting, and tasting allllll things watermelon flavored!

Oh, what fun we are having on FARM DAY! Thank you Hess Thoroughbreds and Performance Horses for coming to see us in person this time! I think you have lots of future lesson hopefuls!

Tonight at the school board meeting our Fairview Falcon robotics team got recognized for being the District Robotics Champions. This team has worked so hard to get to this victory. They were the only South triad elementary school to participate in the spring competition. Way to go FALCONS!!

Congratulations to our kinder class of ‘36! They sang and celebrated all the accomplishments of their year in Kinder!

Camping day wrapped up with s’mores!

Camping Day for third grade has started! I mean, everyone eats hot dogs for morning snack, right?

First grade did our final trip to The Children’s Village today! We worked on plant life cycles and made seed bombs to plant at home! We made a mess and got dirty! We had a ball!
Then we wandered through the Botanical Gardens and walked to the tree house!

First grade culminated our life cycles unit with a day of hands on learning at the Butterfly Pavilion! Many of us were very brave and even held Rosie the tarantula! Butterflies landing on them still takes the cake for those few lucky ones!

Our kindergarten students enjoyed a day of fun and learning at the Riverside Discovery Center!
