We were so delighted that our own Shay Ingram won the award for DSP of the year! Shay was selected from a large group of exceptional DSP's that were nominated this year. She was recognized for her dedication to volunteering, community integration, contributions to the community, and tireless advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Congratulations Shay we couldn't be more proud of you.
And congratulations to Stacey Wright, we were honored to nominate you, and wished we could've had two winners!
We are celebrating Direct Support Professionals week this week and we will be celebrating the invaluable work our dedicated DSPs do everyday to support our individuals to live successfully!
We have some pretty incredible people working to support our mission, so much so that we wanted to highlight two of our DSPs who were nominated for Direct Support Professional of the year!
Stacy Wright has been with MCE for just over 14 years, Stacy works primarily in our shared family homes and goes out of her way to make sure the individuals she supports are inspired to live their best lives.
Shay Ingram has been with MCE for an amazing 23 years! Shay supports individuals in our day service program and was also the inspiration behind the fabulous Rainbow Bridge community project that was just completed. Shay gives selflessly every day and advocates for community giving and involvement.
Please join us in congratulating both Stacy and Shay on their nominations!
We are incredibly thankful to the Albertsons Foundation for their generous grant which enabled us to buy these great mobility scooters for our individuals to use when shopping at their local store. These scooters will enable several of our individuals who are challenged by mobility, to shop more independently in their local community instead of relying heavily on support staff to shop for them.
Albertsons we truly appreciate your support in enabling individuals with disabilities to live with more independence and autonomy!
Thank you to all of the Direct Support Professionals working today, taking time away from their friends and families to support people to live successfully!
