Market Update September 21, 2024 Autumn is eternal in its color and is a time of maturity; but it is the season for enjoying the fullness of life and a time to slow down and turn inward as the long winter arrives. People love going out to the pumpkin patch, picking apples from trees, and enjoying the beautiful scenery around them.
We would like to thank our market sponsors and patrons for the continued support and love of The Cheyenne Farmers Market. Although we have 3 markets left after this weekend, we just can't say thank you enough to all of you!

Last Thursday we had our annual BBQ for the homeless, this event is a chance for us to get out in the community, give someone a meal they otherwise may have not had, and share our programs. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, including Salvation Army for the drinks, Jo-Ed Produce for the burgers, hot dogs, and veggies, Olive Garden for the salads, Comea House and Resource Center for the chairs, and Laramie County Senior Services for the tables.

CALC is set up at the Alzheimer’s Walk Kick Off Luau at Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center! Stop by to play a carnival game at our table, and bring awareness to this cause.

CALC would like to congratulate Elyssa our mental health counselor for a 1 year anniversary for being in the team. We also have an employee that has been with us for 10 years which CALC respects their privacy. For that employee, thank you for your many years of service on the CALC team. What could possibly make The Cheyenne Farmer's Market more fun? A Trunk or Treat! Oct. 12th, 2024 will be a trunk or treat at the farmer's market. Enjoy the vendors and goods as always, but we also are inviting our community partners to hand out candy and resources! Businesses interested in participating can email [email protected] or call us at 307-635-9291. Our nonprofit partners can join us free of charge, for profit businesses we are requesting a $50 space fee.
Community Action of Laramie County Inc. is proud to announce the expansion of our Project Hope program into Sublette & Lincoln County!
Project Hope is an intensive case management program funded by the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG). Our Intensive Case Management Program supports a limited number of qualified individuals and/or families who meet 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Approved participants of Project Hope will enter into a commitment and receive intensive case management, including but not limited to achieving and/or maintaining housing; enhancement of life skills; addressing individual needs; building social skills and community relations; and developing goals to achieve an improved quality of life.
Please be advised that our acute medical walk-in clinic on Wednesdays will be delayed tomorrow, 8/28/24 due to staff training. The walk-in clinic will be held from 2:00pm to 7:00pm on that date.
