This past week, Baba Pita fulfilled an order to our community in the Illinois Medical District at Rush Hospital. In addition to their usual order, a special item was included to express our family’s appreciation for the brave work of these frontline workers! The dessert was incredibly well received and appreciated Alhamdulilah.

It is a very special dessert in our family, enjoyed at almost every wedding, holiday, party, and excuse to eat dessert we could come up with! Our family Tres Leches Cake is certainly a celebration in it of itself ❤

Our family restaurant, Baba Pita Restaurant and Catering serves Mediterranean cuisine, so the thought about whether or not to offer Tres Leches was definitely something we took with into consideration. But the decision was made that before anything else, we are a family business and to us that means delicious food created from home made recipes. And with that criteria, our Tres Leches cake fit the bill.

“Sweets by Baba” is the new in house bakery of Baba Pita Restaurant. This will be a more personal offering of what our family has enjoyed for years: at our weddings, iftars, dinners, holidays, and more.
