Artopia Experience Phoenix Artist Spotlight 🏜
Tarek Soliman got his start in the creative field 10 years ago after moving to the U.S. from Egypt with a degree in architecture engineering. His form of creation starts with a concept of an architecture structure that is then altered to be wearable, buildable, scalable, and achievable. Tarek has expanded his talents in costume design, production, designing, and fabrication and draws much inspiration from music. Of this, he says, “Layers of dynamics, form, harmony, melody, timber, beats, rhythms, and texture speak a language with my design process. I visualize and see music as a movement of lines intersecting, creating paths and outlines of a conceptual start to begin the process of seeding the idea.”

Along with all of the immersive art installations, Artopia Experience Phoenix will host a gallery showcasing a diverse group of fine artists. Artist curator Caleb Mulholland has gathered artists local to Arizona, as well as artists throughout the United States, to create an incredible accompaniment to the Artopia Experience.
Caleb Mulholland is an American artist based in Chicago. His work embellishes symbols expanding from the history of pop culture, religion, folklore and myth. Through visual storytelling, these paintings truly allow a dive into the artist’s daydream. While keeping metaphor, relativity, hyperbole and euphemism in mind, the artist paints a visual poem and leaves the audience to narrate their own interpretation.
At 26 years old, Mulholland has shown in galleries all around the United States while finding his place in the collective art world along the way. His eclectic creative style is a reflection of how he interprets the world at large while holding fast to the belief that divinity is within the eye of the beholder.
