Here are some acne triggers you may not suspect and what they contain that will cause your acne to flare up!

DAIRY: Some experts think the hormones in milk contribute to pimples. Milk contains androgen hormones, which have long been associated with the formation of acne breakouts.4 One particular androgen is testosterone, which is strongly linked to acne development.

Through a complicated chain reaction in your body, testosterone creates dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT stimulates the sebaceous glands, creating an oilier skin that is more prone to pore blockages and, ultimately, pimples and acne.

CHIPS: most chips contain Whey and Dairy! Whey and casein, the proteins in milk, stimulate growth and hormones in calves - and in us when we drink their milk. When we digest these proteins, they release a hormone similar to insulin, called IGF-1. This hormone is known to trigger breakouts.

PROTEIN POWDER: make sure your protein powder doesn't contain whey, or soy

ALCOHOL: alcohol increases the androgens in your body which make you produce more oil, leading to breakouts

ENERGY DRINKS: this is a very sneaky one that most people don't even think about- most energy drinks contain B12 &
BIOTIN which are both major acne triggers

SUGARY DRINKS: sugar spikes your insulin levels which makes vou produce more oil!

FRIES: fries contain iodine which will lead to breakouts
