Yesterday, he came in and we were told “Bath and Brushout”, today, his mom came, saying he was to be a full groom! It was so hard to shave down 2hrs of brushing and coat work. But, lord did it come off quick! My 0 comb just slid through like butter🧈

It’s my Friday!!! 3 can’t come fast enough lol!!🐶❤️

Loving my first All American Groom! The doodle sessions were great, the competitions are awesome, and so many groomers who love their craft!!

Erica and I are out at All American Grooming Show! Great classes and Erica is killing it in the showering! I’m learning more about Doodles🐶❤️

I’ve been practicing my hand scissor work, and am loving the results! So happy with all of these. The close Pom has been that way most of the time and truest likes having short hair and clothes lol 🐶🐾❤️

Disclaimer: I do not recommend shaving double coated dogs. They need brushing more than cutting.

These are two Australian shepherd mixes, and two different ways to deal with their coat.

The red one is keeping his coat natural. We have shortened the hair on the back of his legs, and shortened the feathers on the front legs. We thinned out the neck and behind the ears to remove mats. His owners are going to brush him in between visits, and we are going to keep this body natural. He has been brushed since he was eight weeks old, so he is very good with it to the point where he can stand combing!

 The Merle girl is a little old lady, of 12 years old. Her owners wanted her shaved down to a seven blade. This is very short! I would normally talk to owners about coat care instead of cutting, but the coat damage had already happened. She needed to have mats off her and impacted coat brushed away. I tried to leave a really cute head, with roundness around the face. Her coloring makes her look like she is uneven, so it was a challenging to not take off too much!❤️🐶

Big or little doodle, they are all a challenge! A tight face and a more natural face (I love the shaggy faces😉🐶

Some ankle biters! These were all good pups. They did well. Little ones are challenging because tools can only be so small, but the dogs can be TINY!!

Some big goofy dogs! They present their own challenges, but they’re so satisfying to finish!! All we’re requesting summer shaves. Not my favorite way to deal with the hair, but the dogs seem happy🐶

This is a ”Yorkiepoo”that came in with mats all over. She was boarded for an extended time with no brushing. Her mom was sad, but knew it was going to be a 7 all over.

We are now on a schedule and have a plan to go Asian Freestyle! It will take time, but this will be a fun one🐶

This guy is a fun groom! Well behaved and so happy!!

This guy wanted to look at me and lick my face the entire time. We had to do a de-matting because a pet resort never brushed him. This is the 3rd dog this week in a similar situation. They are so happy with you once you have taken off the mess.
