5 more babies (one not pictured because she was extremely unhappy in the trap 😹) that won’t be having babies, trapped and fixed this past week. 🥳
3 females, 2 males. 💖💙

Due in technically 4 days (if my lil future TNR’er decides to come on time lol), so trying my best to help these kitties out while I can before I have to take a break. Hopefully making the difference I want to be making - keeping the population under control, so no more unwanted litters (yes, kittens are obviously adorable - but don’t belong on the streets and rescues/fosters are already overwhelmed) and poor unfixed kitties to roam the streets producing said litters multiple times a year is no life for them to live. 😞

Thank you so much for everyone’s kind words as well, it definitely helps during a stressful time but I’m taking advantage of still feeling decent enough to TNR while I still can. 🖤🐾

Two beautiful mama kitties trapped tonight. 💖
It took quite a bit, not gonna lie, made a Jewel run in the middle to stock up on some more water to stay hydrated lol, and stinky food to entice them more since these girls were definitely trap savvy.
But, the girl on the left has been being fed for around 2 years and the one on the right about 5 according to their caretaker - so with cats having at least 2-3 litters a year, imagine how many these cuties have had 😭 but after tomorrow, no more babies & will be way healthier. 🥰💖

And yes, I’m doing this pregnant but definitely staying safe before those comments come in - just trying to get as many kitties fixed as possible before baby comes & I’ll then need to take a break. I appreciate everyone’s concern though. 💛

Also, take a guess at which kitty spit on me like a llama 🦙 winner gets the extra packet of salmon I have left over from tonight. 😹

They definitely weren’t cheap, but no regrets investing in 4 new traps since my last two were “borrowed” and never returned 😞 but thanks to the new ones, I was able to trap these 4 cuties today!

That’s 4 less kitties out there having more & more kittens, when everyone’s already overwhelmed with how many there are this summer and it’s just beginning.

Moving and trapping in one day (in this heat lol) when due with a future TNRer (hopefully my daughter will follow in the footsteps 🤣) in less than 3 weeks is nottt easy, but so worth it to get these babies fixed so they don’t have babies of their own.
They might be upset with me now, but will so much happier in the long run after being fixed, vaccinated, deflea’d/dewormed, etc. and then released back to their friends in their colony. 🙂

(And yes, I know about the no newspaper, trust me I was mad at myself but I of course forgot it when I had my car full of moving stuff 🤦🏼‍♀️ and didn’t want to just let these guys go and risk not being able to trap them again.)

I just went to trap the handsome, but matted & flea covered orange kitty I posted about previously today and now have spotted a mama and her 4-5 week old teeny tiny kitten as well. 😿
Ughhh these hoarders here who refuse to get these poor kitties fixed, and they’re all so skinny. It’s beyond heartbreaking. 💔
Wish me luck (again please, I need all the luck in the world for this TNR project).

Thankfully though, I met a nice neighbor who happened to just be coming home - and she was super understanding and felt just as bad for the kitties as me (even she commented on how she couldn’t understand how the population of cats has gotten so out of control - so I let her know about TNR to help) and she’s now allowing me to trap in her in yard. Thank god. 🙏🏻

One of the kitties from the hoarder house I saw today when bringing water/food - the owners of the house & neighboring house are still being extremely combative, despite trapping on public property (the alley). I’ve actually sadly had to get a police report against the one lady since she’s now threatened mine and my baby’s life - which is ridiculous. All because they don’t want the cats fixed so they can sell the kittens. Infuriating isn’t even the word for this.

Don’t worry though - I no longer go alone, I either bring a couple of people with me or my mom’s police officer friend when he has the time just for my safety. I realize these people are mentally ill, but it’s no excuse to act this way or threaten anyone (nonetheless someone who’s pregnant), they need to seek help instead.

This poor, handsome guy is of course not fixed, extremely matted, sooo skinny and no food or water so I have to make sure I bring that daily. He’s also covered in fleas (he got closer to me and you can see some jumping off him 🤢). It’s heartbreaking and just overall frustrating that these people are letting this happen just to profit off the babies.

But I’ll continue to keep trapping until I can’t anymore - then will start again when I’m healed after after my baby is born in a few weeks lol like I said, hectic. 😂
These kitties deserve SO much better though, and that’s my goal for them.
Going back tonight since it’s a bit cooler and hopefully will trap him at the very least. Wish me luck please. 🙏🏻

Aaand Martini has officially been adopted by one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met! 💖

Genuinely can never ask for better outcomes for my fosters. 💛
From a couple day old bottle baby kitten on the streets that I took care of & watched grow, to now going home to a great couple and their own kitty that’ll show her all the love she deserves. I couldn’t be happier. 🥰💛

I miss her already but I actually didn’t even cry this time, shockingly lol! Solely because they’re such a perfect home for her and just overall great people, so I know I have no worries for her with their lil family. 💖
