Hello everyone, autumn is upon us, and we are falling for fall. Yes it has been a while since the last post. Basically I do not bother with social media. And with funding being very tight we were not able to hire someone to post as regularly as we would have liked to.

But Sunday September 29th is the last day for this season of the South Shore Farmers Market. Plans for 2020 are underway.I will have some time to keep you informed throughout the fall and winter season.

I want to remind senior citizens who are holding on to those farmer market coupons to get to the market and spend them. They will expire on October 31st and will not be of any use after that date.

I want to thank all of the people who came out to support the market, also Chi City Foods, Native Pharmacy, Patchwork Farm, Alderman Gregory Mitchell thank you for keeping our market announcements in your newsletter. So until next season enjoy your autumn/winter and holiday season.

SOUTH SHORE FARMERS MARKET WEEKLY PRODUCE LIST

Summer is moving along fast, and you just may want to consider canning and freezing as much of the seasons harvest as possible. Stop by the market and see what we have for you. Also Xavier is taking CSA orders so stop by and speak with him to decide what fits your needs. Looking forward to the long awaited sweet corn on the cob. Most of the corn crops got a late start this year, so hang in there it will be arriving soon. And please download this weeks produce list to plan your shopping list.

We are excited to tell you about the produce line up at the market this Sunday. As always the produce brought to our market is harvested the same day or three days before arriving to the market. I will be at the Rehoboth blueberry farm on Saturday picking fresh blueberries for the market. So stop by and shop with us, download the mixed berry pie on Bon Appetit website for some awesome recipes for your berries.

Also our vendors from Patchwork Farms will be selling tacos, and panini with vegan and vegetarian options. There will be cold beverages for sell too. We will gladly hold items for you upon request, just send an email and please include a contact phone number with your request.
