OMG!😍😍😍
what an amazing post! Did you know the waters don't always 'break'?
✨En Caul Birth✨ “For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.” -Psalm 139:13-4
How perfect and beautiful is the design of birth? How glorious to get to peak inside this sacred and protective space! 🙌
👶 Babies born “En Caul” or inside the amniotic sac are rare, statistically only occurring 1 in 80,000 births. It can often happen in a cesarean (if the surgeon does not cut through the amniotic sac), or in some vaginal births.
However, many home birth midwives report seeing this occur much more frequently due to the gentle, undisturbed nature of home birth.🏡
Having a strong amniotic sac can often indicate good nutritional health for the mother such as being high in collagen.💪
It is said that babies born En Caul or “behind the veil” have good luck or special spiritual characteristics.
❓Did you know❓
💗Amniotic sac is a bag formed by two membranes, the amnion and the chorion.
💗The outer layer may rupture, leaking some fluid, leaving the inner layer is still intact.
💗A high, slow leak or outer rupture can sometimes reseal and you can carry on with pregnancy without the risk of infection.
💗Newer studies show that “with proper care, waiting for up to 48-72 hours after the water breaks does not increase the risk of infection or death to babies” with certain conditions met (Hannah et al., 1996; Pintucci et al., 2014).
💗 states, “the “24-hour clock” rule is no longer valid today.

Dr. Smita, pediatrician & mom, explains Gas & Colic. As your baby’s digestive system develops, tummy troubles can occur. Dr. Smita helps you understand if that discomfort is gas, colic, or constipation.
Blue-grey spots (congenital dermal melanocytosis) are a kind of birthmark that are flat, blue, or blue-grey and can vary in size. They are often found on the buttocks and lower back, appearing at birth or in the first few weeks of life.
These spots are more common in non-white infants. .
At least one spot is present on over 90% of Native Americans and people of African descent, over 80% of Asians, over 70% of Hispanics, and just under 10% of fair-skinned infants. This 10% is mostly made up of babies with roots in the Mediterranean.
If a blue spot is noticed at birth, it will likely be documented by the person examining your newborn so that they are not mistaken for bruises.
These spots usually fade but can take months or even years!
P.s the drawing is supposed to be a baby laying on her front not back 🤔😂
