Chicago Youth Shakespeare
Welcome to Chicago Youth Shakespeare, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to putting Shakespeare's timeless works into the hands of 21st-century teenagers.
We are so grateful to all those that came out to celebrate CYS’s final hurrah, and to the Epiphany Center for the Arts for hosting us in their beautiful space. Lastly, to all the alumni who joined us last night, either on stage or in the audience, this show was for you. Though this be the end of your season with CYS, we hope the seeds of Arden planted in you continue to grow and thrive, and we can’t wait to witness the forest that sprouts forth from it.
And with that, we take our final bow.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤️

More workshops are coming your way! Gearing up for fall auditions? Raring to get ready for rehearsals? Simply stressed about the start of the school year? Why not change your point of view – by diving into some Viewpoints!
The Viewpoints is a movement-based technique that explores the fundamental elements of performance. Guided by the nine Viewpoints, performers discover how to honor their impulses while being generous to and respectful of what else is happening in the space. The Viewpoints are an excellent generative tool for an ensemble as well as a practical way to analyze performance and make it clearer to an audience.
Our workshop, led by expert Jeremy Ohringer, will be held on two consecutive Sundays this October (16th and 23rd) from 1-4pm. It's open to young adults, ages 14-22, and no prior experience with The Viewpoints is required, so all you need to be is ready to learn and explore!
Location
The Fine Arts Building
410 S Michigan Ave., Chicago
Studio A (3rd Floor)
