Residencial or comercial sewer… you have to know how it all works from the back of your house ,threw your house, to the street down into the main line to the water / sewage treatment plant and most important have years in the field of actual hands on touch shovel excavate years in the field to see how sometimes things won’t work the way the blue prints say they have to work ….

Proper flow of gutters connected to grease basin on a rainy day you will see who’s basin fill up and off to the city main when it reaches its level ..Big indicator something is wrong when purchasing a home is if gutters are not connected … always inspect the sewer system and for back up issues install a check valve .. it will allow water to leave and when it tried to come back it closes……
