Everything changes and yesterday I said goodbye to my longtime buddies, Lucy (L) and Foster (R).

After nearly a decade of caring for these sweet babies, I’m sad to see them go but I’m happy that they’ll have a bigger yard to play in.

We wish the entire family the best of luck in their new home!

I’m going to take a moment to recognize all the folx who’ve been on my team, including the support of friends and family because reaching 20 years wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Finally, I want to acknowledge myself for the unicorn that I am, having been the only full scale pet sitting biz owned and operated by a Latina in Chicago for most of those 20 years. 🦄🐶🐱

Entrepreneurship is exciting and rewarding but it can also be unpredictable, uncomfortable and a test of one’s tenacity.

These past 3 years have been tough but we’re still here— pivoting, rebuilding, and continuing to give pets on Chicago’s north side lots of TLC.

Happy World Wildlife Day!
In 2011, I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of meeting a Koala in Australia.

Her name is Keira and as you can see we really liked each other.

I actually got in trouble because I was stroking Keira’s leg (I couldn’t help it!) and apparently koala’s get overstimulated and might get reactive. Well, I think Keira liked it because she couldn’t keep her paws off my b***s! 🐨🤣 She also nuzzled me so sweetly.

After I returned Keira, I broke down in both tears of joy and sadness because my Daddy had passed months earlier and meeting a koala was one of his dreams too. He loved all creatures and that’s definitely where I get my deep love for them.

This was an experience of a lifetime!

Yesterday was gorgeous and Lola was eager to get outside. She’s a wild beast and she’s always waiting by the back door for an opportune moment to run out.

I call this her Catstronaut carrier. 🚀😻👨🏽‍🚀
She gets in without a hitch and is super chill— she loves it!

We had a lovely pack walk with and she was so satisfied with the outing, she took a rejuvenating nap. 💤

Next goal: walking on a leash! 😻😻😻
