happy new year! gung hay fat choy! we are happily preparing for our annual chinese new year's feast again! the "rules" for this year's feast are now in effect. as usual, if you have questions, feel free to give us a call or email us. talk to you all soon and i hope to see everyone during the new year!

feast rules:

1. the feast will take place on friday, february 16, 2024 and saturday, February 17, 2024 (pick a night). we will start seating at 6pm and dinner will begin at 6:30pm.

2. there will be 90 seats available each night. if we hit the maximum, you will be placed on a waiting list. we will let you know if you are on the waiting list.

3. cost of the feast is $80/person, tax included. we will seat smaller parties together to create groups of 10 per table. you can buy the whole table if you are inclined.

4. drinks and gratuity will be billed separately. if you do not make a purchase, we would prefer cash for the gratuity. we want to keep things simple for the servers to expedite the end of your meal. you may byo wine and the server will charge bottle fees at the end of the meal. bottle charges are $15/bottle (for bottles larger than 750ml, we reserve the right to charge a higher fee).

5. seats are paid in advanced and non-refundable after sunday, february 11, 2024 at 5pm. cancellations will be given to those at the top of the waiting list. after that it will go on to the next party on the list. any party who cancels before 02.11.24 will get a full refund but please be advised we will only issue refunds in person. in other words, you must be standing in the store with your credit card to receive the refund.

6. for those on the waitlist, if we get an early cancellation, we will start at the top of the list and work our way down as soon as possible. however, we have had some late cancellations in the past, including on the day of the feast. please be amenable to a short notice or even last minute notification.

7. you will be able to start making reservations on monday, january 22, 2024 after 11am. you may pay in person (cash, visa, or master) or you can pay over the phone (visa or master only). we do not take any other credit cards. no checks are accepted. please do not call on thursday, as we are off and no one is around to answer the phone to take your call.

8. the feast is "communal" style eating so everyone will be sharing the food on the table. if you buy the whole table, you are able to have up to 12 people at your table. however, we will not be responsible if there is not enough to eat. =) also be advised, if you decide to order "off menu", there will be a delay between when you order and when your food arrives. the kitchen's priority is to serve the feast first.

9. the feast menu will not be posted until wednesday, february 7, 2024 on our website and page. please do not email me asking what the menu is. i will not tell you and simply direct you to our website or page on 02.07.24.

10. we do NOT have parking. be aware you should allow time to find parking. there is usually parking along some of the side streets and on broadway and argyle there is meter parking. the parking garage to the north of us is now open to the public for paid parking. unfortunately, we do not validate parking. we have a loading zone in front of the restaurant. you will be able to drop off and pick up in front of the restaurant. please be sure to have your flashers on and do not take more than 15 minutes to drop off and pickup passengers where possible. there is always a chance you will get ticketed.

Our annual BYO turkey for Thanksgiving is on again! So, please follow the “rules” below. Gobble gobble!

There will be a LIMITED number of slots available for different times throughout the day.

We will begin accepting turkey orders (either our birds or yours) now.

You can come in or phone in to leave a $15 deposit and hold one spot. (If you are ordering two turkeys, then double the deposit to hold two spots.) We take cash, visa, or master. We ONLY accept visa or master over the phone. NO CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED. We will determine the final price when your turkey is brought in for BYOs or at pick up time when our birds are weighed.

ALL BYO birds must be brought in no later than 5pm on November 19th 2023. Any birds brought in after the designated time MUST be approved by Kelly or Laura. If you have a frozen turkey, feel free to bring it in before the deadline. In fact, Laura encourages this. =)

We will have fresh turkeys available for ordering. Last orders for our birds will be taken no later than 5pm on November 15th, 2023. Any exceptions to this will only be approved by either Kelly or Laura.

Pricing is as follows: BYO is $5.50/lb, our turkeys are $8.00/lb

You don't have to ask specifically for Kelly or Laura to put your deposit. Mike or Tania can help you too =) We also have several people answering the phone now. Just let them know you want to put a turkey deposit down and they will be glad to help you.

For credit card deposits over the phone, we need your card information, phone number, and billing zip code.

Side notes:

- We will be open on Thanksgiving day from 8:30am-6pm
First pick up times will be 9am. Last pick up times will be 5:30pm. If you are running late, please call us so we won’t call you ten times in a row =)
- The “best sized” turkeys are between 10-15lbs.
- Please bear in mind that we may run out of time slots as we try to accommodate as many customers as we possibly can. If the time you want is not available, please be amenable to a different time slot.
- Because we are cooking all orders on hour and a half increments, please be advised there may be a +/- 45 minute wait for your turkey. If a delay happens, we will try to call you to inform you of the delay as soon as we know about it. We try our hardest to stick to our schedule but sometimes technical difficulties and changes during the day will affect our output times. Be patient with us on this busy day. We will try to get your bird to you as soon as possible.
- Please be patient with us on the phone. Language can be a barrier and some of the staff are newly trained for taking orders. Keep in mind, we’re not only on the phone with you, we’re also in person with several other customers at the same time. =D
- Due to space, we may be limiting the number of people who are picking up orders inside on thanksgiving day. Please dress appropriately for the weather in case you have to wait outside.
- When placing your order, please remember the name and phone number you provided so that when you pick up, we can match your information more efficiently to find your order.
