Well, it’s been a minute since our last post here! When you’re busier than one armed paperhanger who has time to post! 😁 This is a little exterior we finished up last week and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. All Benjamin Moore paint and Penofin on that beautiful Brazilian hardwood deck!

We’ve been maintaining this house for the last 20 years, and a sure sign of spring is our annual changing out of the wood storms with screens. I love old houses and this client has been great to work with. He’s a preservationist and has kept the house correct to the period. Every year we restore a section, and this spring we will be doing the outside of the front porch. Two years ago we restored all of the first floor wood siding and it still looks like we just did it!

Visiting one of the interior jobs today and this is what it looks like outside their front door! 😁

Well how about that! It’s not every day you get to varnish a boat, and this definitely wasn’t the Minnow. All marine grade varnish was hand applied. 😁

Another cabinet job in the books! This kitchen in Lake Zurich IL got a fresh new updated look with Cabinet Coat paint by Benjamin Moore. I think it’s safe to say our customers as thrilled with the results. 😁

Another kitchen cabinet job is in the books! This Gold Coast customer wanted to update the look of the cabinets without having to go through the expense of replacement. They were well made, just not the color they wanted. What do you think of the new look?

Norwood Park kitchen complete! This dark kitchen now has an updated new look. All cabinets were thoroughly cleaned, prepared and sprayed. We also converted the dark woodwork over to a painted finish. What do you think of the new look?

Park Ridge widow restoration complete! We just finished the restoration of these front porch storm windows and frames this week. This is a long time customer that has us restore a section on this beautiful home every year. How do you think they turned out?

We just finished phase #2 of this 1881 project here in Chicago. Last year we did the house, and this year it was the original barns turn to be restored. It’s been an honor to have been entrusted with the care of these historic buildings!

Another fun one is in the books! Lots and lots of balcony railings on this condo to prepare and paint. It had been many years since it was last painted and unfortunately many of the sections had completely rusted out. The welders came in ahead of us and replaced what needed replacing, and we followed by applying two coats of Benjamin Moore metal paint. Remember, maintaining your painted surfaces is cheaper than replacing!

Over two weeks of rain delays but we’ve finally got this one in the books! The new colors really make a huge difference. And a big thank you to Harmony Haus for the referral!

I’ve got a great helper for the day. And to think he only works for treats! 😁
