NHC AmeriCorps members receive valuable on the ground public health experience while they serve 1700 hours over 10.5 months serving approximately 40 hours per week, mostly during normal business hours. Member benefits include $16,000 living stipend; $6,000+ education award; eligible for health insurance, child care allowance (if applicable), and SNAP benefits; loan forbearance for qualified student loans.
