The Pac Mac Ride is a fundraiser that honors the memory of Patrick McNamara who passed away at the age of 13 from a pediatric brain tumor. Patrick attended St. Barnabas School and would have attended St. Rita.

Today the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics ran past St. Rita High School in an effort to help raise awareness for the athletes who participate in Special Olympics.

Mr. Bob Kellam ’92, 8th District Lieutenant of the Chicago Police Department, and the oldest brother of our Director of Campus Ministry, Mr. Kieran Kellam ’98, led the way by carrying the Flame of Hope as they prepare for the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games in Normal.

Beginning today, our school offices will only be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM with offices being closed every Friday.

Today is the day! We hope to see everyone at Reilly's Daughter Oak Lawn tonight at 8PM for a night of music by Moe’s N Co, a Chicago-based rock band consisting of Leo Hennessy ’18, Mickey Larkin ’18, Conor Larkin ’19, Jimmy Larkin ’20, and Mike McShane.

This event is for 21 and older. Entry cost is $40 at the door including drinks with a percentage going to help keep St. Rita tuition as affordable as possible.

This year's outing will raise funds for our guaranteed scholarships.

On May 22nd, we celebrated our patroness, St. Rita in our Shrine Chapel.

After the Novena prayers to St. Rita, our celebrants and servers processed through the Shrine with blessed roses and St. Rita’s relic. 

Father Tom McCarthy, O.S.A. ‘83 invited First Communicants to join in honoring our patroness. Their presence made the feast day celebration even more memorable.
