Congratulations to our May employee of the month, Jen!

Jen has been working in veterinary medicine since 2019! Her favorite part of being a tech is the that everyday is different and that it brings new learning opportunities to provide the best care to our patients. Jen is also at the halfway point in earning her associate’s degree and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician - way to go Jen!! When she’s not at work, Jen loves to spend time outdoors with her family and cuddled up with her cat, Zoe.

It’s Veterinary Receptionist week!
We are so happy to celebrate our amazing Client Service Representatives. They keep our hospital running smoothly and are the sounding board for all of our wonderful clients day in and day out. The biggest thanks to all of our CSR staff for their compassion and dedication.

Congratulations to our April employee of the month, Phoebe!

Phoebe has worked at Ravenswood Animal Hospital since September of 2023! Her favorite parts about being a technician include helping create a positive experience for patients by making them feel safe and comfortable, learning the science behind the medicine, and working with the wonderful RAH team!

Phoebe currently has one cat, Ollie, who is often said to resemble an alien. In her freetime, Phoebe enjoys trying new restaurants around Chicago, volunteering at Lurie Children’s Hospital, and playing pool with her friends.

Congratulations to our March employee of the month, Ava!

Ava has been working in veterinary medicine since 2015! Her favorite part of being a tech is helping improve the lives of each patient she cares for and helping educate clients. Ava has a Pointer named Louis and three black cats, Winnie, Salem and Luna. While at work, Ava also loves doing the artwork on the whiteboards and when she’s not at work she loves spending time outside with her dog Louis, traveling and using her Zoology degree learning about all types of animals!

This week Dr. Olsen and Dr. Gianni spent time joining forces at the State Capitol in Springfield on Tuesday to lobby in support of HB 1533, the bill to ban the declawing of cats.

Holly loves cuddles, naps, snacks, and more naps - and we love that for her 💕

It’s not often we have a staff member and a patient as birthday twins! So when we do, we have to have a little party!

Congratulations to our January employee of the month, Jessica!

Jessica has been working in veterinary medicine for 14 years! Since working in vet med, she has had the wonderful opportunity of showing compassion to animals and their owners in all aspects of care. Jessica loves assisting in surgeries and helping educate pet parents on caring for their pets while recovering from procedures, as well as helping animals through their golden years. Not only is Jessica a key player in our technician team, she is also the voice of our social media pages and loves taking photos of our cutest, sweetest patients to share with all of you!

When not at working at Ravenswood, Jessica spends her free time coaching figure skating and she is also the founder of a local Chicago synchronized skating team, Team Magnifique.
She loves spending time with her family, friends and pets, Pauly, Nellie, Atlas, Hemi and Pinot the cat as well as traveling and exploring new places.

Congratulations to our December employee of the month, Dr. Niki!

Dr. Niki Gianni has volunteered on four trips to Native American reservations, providing free vet care to communities in need and currently helps out with local shelters - One Tail at a Time and Tree House Humane Society. Dr. Niki also did volunteer work at a manatee rescue in Belize! She is a fervent animal advocate, organizing circus protests and campaigning against puppy mills.

Outside the clinic, she is often listening to podcasts, checking out the newest vegan restaurants, and following Fall Out Boy wherever they're on tour. Despite being from the midwest, she is forever fascinated by orcas and uses most vacation opportunities for whale watching.

Dr. Niki has two rescued dogs "Goose" and "Kipling," rats, hermit crabs, fish, a frog named "Dentist," and a myriad of foster birds through Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue.
