Carole Eddington, Writer/Poet

Working on a few books and my website. In the mean time, a variety of my writings are posted here. See the NOTES section.
. This is my writer/poet/author page.

This is the page of My Universe. Please read my stuff in the NOTES section, and I'll soon have a few books for you. If you communicate to me, I'll respond (as soon as I get a notice from Facebook that you said something!)

I was born in Chicago to two musicians, I married a musician, and our two kids are musicians. We also have two magical grandchildren! Weโ€™re all about music, writing, poetry, and

If you put order into an area, confusion shows up and then blows off. One should ignore the confusion and keep putting order in! I believe the highest form of order is bringing things up to the level of aesthetics. Let's promote the high frequencies, the beautiful wavelengths. Art! Artists! Creativity! Don't succumb to the bad stuff going on. It's deliberately created to bring us all down! But the high frequencies, or tone levels, or whatever you want to call them, are POWERFUL!! Especially when combined with goodness and pureness of heart and intentions! BEAUTY allows us to float above the crap and disintegrate evil!

So if you find yourself troubled, turn on your favorite music. Walk through the woods or by the water. Get busy at something productive or creative. Get inspired. Take stock of all the wonderful things in your life. Help someone! And be the Goddess or God that you ARE!! The Beatles had it right! All we need is LOVE!

And create YOUR OWN UNIVERSE! What is MAGIC? It's anything outside of this physical universe! And that comes from YOU! โ˜บ

ANGEL

the sun walks in like a dog
when itโ€™s not time for the sun to come
it finds me standing
as a white gown floats down
around my body
like divine wings not perceptible
to humanoid eyes
the angel gown and sunlight are
so light
and softer than soft
and I am light of heart
and I am light
uplifted to the state of joy
some sort of translucent exhilaration
the lightest touch
the stillest peace

from there I can walk in any shoes
I am a dance
angels hold my hands
and smile my smile with me
I have always been an angel
music holds me like a child
this is my song, I think,
and thought is lighter than light
I can be the ballerina
or I can write all night

I deeply love my friends
I gather them around me
pour them tea from herbs
feed them dates
but itโ€™s all a dream a creation
a picture a painting a poem
a dance a work of music

so I didnโ€™t have the right energy this lifetime
so what?
so the pieces keep falling on the floor
so Iโ€™m an anemic angel
so I daily swim in the art of others
and neglect my own
the perceptions come from me

so what if the big wide world has never heard of me?
they will
and they have
they will
and they have
theyโ€™re waiting

Well, they took Notes away AGAIN!!! With Notes, I can easily and beautifully publish my poems on this Page. I'm so pi**ed! I just complained. I'm postulating (causatively deciding) that they put Notes back! I hope you all agree with me on this!

It's interesting how a deep upset can unleash a freedom to rediscover very deep essential things about oneself. That happened to me today. Has that ever happened to you?

I solved my whole life last night from reading one of the later small chapters in THE CREATIVE ACT: A WAY OF BEING by Rick Rubin. I am so exterior to ALL and full of joy. Everythingโ€™s different. Everythingโ€™s finally as it should be. โ˜บ๏ธ You all should read that book! It's for EVERYONE! It's my new bible!

exteriorization vs. havingness 07/28/2023

I was having a challenging day, due to a temporary devastation, when I came across this stanza from one of my poems:

"and when you can view
your most dearly held loves
as Chance cards in Monopoly
thatโ€™s when youโ€™ll be free"

And it helped for a minute. But now, I don't know. Anyway, here's the whole poem if you're interested.

2 survey questions for fans of my poetry: 1) How does reading my poetry enhance your life? 2) What other poets enhance your life in a similar way? Thanks! :)

"Crazy" or "krazy" can be a high aesthetic level, you know. When I'm at the right frequency, or whatever, out-of-this-world phrases just float in as I'm writing a poem.

I'm sort of in a beautiful confusion today. It's a confusion of all the many, many thing I'm involved in, interested in, want to do, need to do, and I'm viewing it all from a high, aesthetic, freequency. Yes, that was FREEquency. Just coined that! Don't steel it! Aw, you can, it's FREE!!

WATER COLOR EYES

story of a lady doing dishes
the kitchen set securely around her
thoughts of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton
pictures of their eyes in her eyes
washing bowls washing forks
the egg residue surrenders and leaves the pan
leaves the stainless steel sink
and finds hell below

running water, liquid lavender
demolishing germs and stench and rot
leaving sparkling sweet clean as a dream
Elizabeth Taylor, goddess
with a touch of Anaรฏs amorality
just enough to stir the ocean, tip the planet, challenge the sun
with bad boy Burton who fell to her spell
so LUCIOUSLY
for all to taste

washing dishes at 2 AM defying the black sky
as the wind calls her
those violet eyes
his sea blue eyes
remote sight, swirling worlds
and the wind pulls her outside

engulfed in magic she tempts the forces that brought her there
her clean lavender hands stroking the night
the living being that keeps us
the thoughts that sail like dreams above
the music of life
the doorways, the windows

the pools of mystical color that are EYES that SEE
beyond, through, deep
eyes that are worlds
eyes that command liquidly
sorcery that makes love to us
and pale white religion

her uncle who recently died is there
and the Renaissance Faire
and the cats

thereโ€™s a joy to being profound, she thinks
thereโ€™s a picnic in the ground
thereโ€™s a butler and pilot fighting it out
โ€˜cause the dancer was Spanish
and I want to write stories, she thinks
so hail Mary and give me the river
Jesus taught me to see beyond
with water deep eyes
with parchment for skin
hair miles long
and angel fingers on angel hands

Vermont Avenue pops in smelling of Italy
Los Feliz waits like a patient pet
amazing people Iโ€™ve known, she thinks
and I once walked through Greenwich Village
when nothing was happening, how odd, she thinks
โ€˜cause she was born with the Village in her heart

she gets bigger every day, she gets cosmic, she is the universe
as the dishes get clean
and nothing makes sense
as it makes too much sense, well, not sense, but truth
not truth, but creation
just creation elation gelato mulatto sensation green cellophane
flappy door people mustard eel wax magpie pie
hippy bag escalator heart rural leap city sweep
kid glove accident
heart worm transplant
mama so fat
daddy so drunk
winner sinner
and our bodies are failing
the message degrading
but WINE always communicates
and so does dust

late night snack of healthy chocolate yogurt
a constant

all romance shall pass
all romance shall survive
earthquakes rule
nature teaches

perfect days are gifts to ourselves
and people from Michigan are generally polite
we are all passengers of the great challenge
we are all judges in the big joke
what did the blonde say to the sinner?
nothing
