Carriage Court of Kenwood hosted a Goats and Greetings event today.

We'd like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful, hard working doctor's who oversee the medical and emotional needs of our residents and team members.

We are proud to celebrate Marquita Mitchell's 7-year anniversary with Pathway to Living and Victory Centre. Marquita started with us as a Viva! Life Coordinator at Victory Centre of Roseland and was promoted into the Business Office Manager role at Victory Centre of Galewood and has recently relocated to Victory Centre of South Chicago.

"Marquita is a great team member, is dedicated, dependable and has a heart of gold for the residents and co-workers. She makes it a point to take time with each resident and team member and to never rush them. Marquita has only been with the South Chicago team since last November but during that time has gained the respect of the team members and residents. Happy First Day of Spring!

Happy Anniversary to Sheila Triplett who has been the Concierge at Victory Centre of Bartlett for 3 years. Sheila is the friendly voice you hear when you call the community and the smiling face you see when you first enter. Sheila was treated with a gift of her favorite cookies- Kolacky from one of our favorite local bakeries- Mad Batter Bakery in St. Charles.

Congratulations to Austlyn Uteg for her 6-year anniversary with Pathway to Living. Austlyn joined the company as a Business Office Manager was promoted to a Lifestyle Specialist and has been the Executive Director at Victory Centre of Park Forest for the last 2 years. Austlyn has been a rising star within the organization and we can not wait to see what her future holds. Congratulations, Austlyn and thank you for being part of our team!

We are excited to announce the promotion of Linsey Rosland to Executive Director at Aspired Living of La Grange.

Linsey joined the Pathway to Living and Aspired Living of La Grange team in 2019. Her dedication to the residents, families and prospects has been seen daily and her commitment to the team, VIVA! lifestyle and Pathway’s mission helps to set Aspired Living apart.

Happy 10-year Anniversary to Victory Centre of Bartlett's fearless leader, Vicki Striegel! The most important qualities of a good leader include integrity, accountability, empathy, humility, resilience, vision, influence, and positivity and Vicki exemplifies all of these. We are lucky to have her on our team and we can't wait for the next 10 years.

March is National Women’s History Month and an ideal time to reflect on the accomplishments of the visionary women who began the Women’s Rights Movement, kept it rolling through the decades and continue the work today on behalf of women everywhere.

We are incredibly pleased to wish Zithlalyc Corona a very happy 5-year anniversary at Victory Centre of Bartlett. Her journey started while she was attending Elgin Community College (ECC) and came to Victory Centre of Bartlett through a work study program. At the end of her internship, we hired her as one of our receptionists. Zithlalyc showed interest in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and she became part of our CNA sponsorship program with AVID CNA School. Zithalalyc has been part of our Wellness Department as a Life Enrichment Assistant ever since. Thank you for being such an important part of our team!

-Being patient, level-headed, and cool under pressure.
-Connecting with residents, it’s not just a job; it’s enriching someone’s life.
-Making multi-tasking look like an art form.

-Helping residents meet their daily needs and empower them to function at the highest possible level.
-When your work is all said and done, you see the appreciation in your resident’s eyes and come back for more.
-Communicating clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating in writing and over the phone.
Job Requirements:

To be the ideal Life Enrichment Aide for this role:
-Must possess as a minimum a GED.
-Certified Nursing Assistant license preferred, but not required.
-Have strong assessment and documentation skills.
-Must be inspired by the youthful, energetic senior population that we serve.
