Our 23rd Anniversary Ale will be tapped on July 27. Piece opened on July 27, 2001.

This Anniversary Ale is a double dry-hopped Extra Pale Ale with a highly drinkable 5.8 ABV. As brewer Keil says, “ it is hopped once for every 11.5 years we’ve been in business.”

In honor of ’s statue unveiling tomorrow at Wrigley Field, we are honoring Ryno with Ryne Sandberg’s Golden Arm Kolsch. $1 from every pint sold will be donated to . On tap today through June 30.

Ryno played 16 years in the major leagues, 15 with the , a 10 time All-Star, winner of the NL MVP (1984), 9-time Golden Glove Winner, 7-time Silver Slugger Award, NL home run leader (1990). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.

We did it! I am thrilled to announce that our three-month Slice to Meet You fundraiser for succeeded in raising $59,500.

This program was made possible thanks to our chefs: Hot Doug Sohn, Barry Sorkin, Stephanie Izard, and Rick Bayless, who brought their passion for this cause to the kitchen and created their special pizzas. Many thanks to them. To Eddie Greco and , a friend and distributor to us and to the pizza world, thank you for your sponsorship. To our generous donors who matched the proceeds: Laura Desmond, Leonard Goodman, Sean Fogarty/ —thank you so much. I was honored to support this program as a personal match as well.

Giving back is essential to who Piece is in the community. The PAWS mission, with their foster and adoption programs, and their success as the Midwest’s largest no-kill shelter resonates with me and my team.

We were proud to donate $10 from every pizza sold.

I’m grateful for the kitchen crew who pulled out the dough, topped the pizzas, and baked them to perfection every time. And to the front of the house who were instrumental in their promotional efforts.

To the amazing Jill Siar, Susanna Wickham, Tom McFeely, Allison Wunder, and everyone at PAWS who put their hearts into taking care of cats and dogs in need of homes.
