Launch scrubbed
and are targeting no earlier than Saturday, August 26 for 9’s launch of ’s seventh operational human spaceflight mission ( ) to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The instantaneous launch window is at 3:27 a.m. ET (07:27 UTC), with a backup opportunity available on Sunday, August 27 at 3:04 a.m. ET (07:04 UTC).

The Dragon spacecraft supporting this mission previously flew NASA’s Crew-3 and Crew-5 missions to and from the space station. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage will land on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

During their time on the orbiting laboratory, the crew will conduct science and technology demonstrations to prepare for human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and to benefit humanity on Earth.

The SpaceX webcast for the Crew-7 mission will go live about one hour before liftoff.

Along with SpaceX, we are continuing to review launch and return opportunities for the upcoming crew rotation flights to and from the International Space Station.

Teams are now considering whether to return Crew-2 ahead of launching the next crew rotation. The earliest possible opportunity for Crew-2 undocking from the station is on Nov. 7, with a back-up opportunity on Nov. 8.

The earliest opportunity for the Crew-3 launch is 9:51pm on Nov. 8, if mission teams do not pursue Crew-2 return on Nov. 7 or Nov. 8.

Launch Update ➡️ NASA's SpaceX launch is now targeted for Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 1:10am ET due to a large storm system meandering across the Ohio Valley and through northeastern United States this weekend, elevating winds and waves in the Atlantic Ocean along the Crew Dragon flight path for the Oct. 31 launch attempt.

The Crew-3 astronauts entered quarantine on Saturday, Oct. 16 in preparation for their flight to the International Space Station! Spending the final two weeks before liftoff in quarantine will help ensure the crew is healthy, protecting themselves and the astronauts already on the space station.

The four astronauts will lift off at 2:43am ET Saturday, Oct. 30, aboard the SpaceX Dragon Endurance, atop the company’s Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A here at Kennedy Space Center.
