FEAR
During my session with one of my coaching clients, the topic of FEAR came up. I want EVERYONE especially those who use "God has not given us the spirit of fear..."(2 Timothy 1:7) as a quantifier for when you feel afraid. Listen there is a difference between the emotion of fear and the spirit of fear. God DID NOT GIVE YOU THE SPIRIT OF FEAR!!!!!!! But he DID give you the emotion of fear. If you did not have the emotion you would never know what it feels like to be brave. The EMOTION of fear can actually help you. It's a trigger to watch!!!! It doesn't cripple you. It triggers you to watch. When you are moving into a different area or place fear will come but move anyway!!!! FEEL IT, ACKNOWLEDGE IT, MOVE ON FROM IT!!!!!!!!
Not that I'm old but at this age, I've learned three things about when people are talking about you.
1. They are genuinely concerned or
2. They are genuinely ignorant of the subject matter they are speaking on or have 1 side of the situation. or
3. They are genuinely jealous.
In either of the three scenarios, MY RESPONSE makes the difference. Even if someone is concerned I can acknowledge without deeply sharing. Everyone isn't privileged to that. The level of relationship matters! In the other scenarios, I choose to stay on the RIGHT SIDE OF RIGHT. These two scenarios can cause anger which can cause you to act out. I'm choosing to stay right. Everything and/or everyone doesn't get the privilege of my response.
The only thing I promise to do in these situations is declare the word...
1 Peter 3:10 I will keep my tongue from evil
Colossians 4:6 My conversation will be full of grace and seasoned with salt
Psalm 141:3 Father set a guard over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips.

Sarah Boone was an African American dressmaker who made her name by inventing the modern-day ironing board. In her patent application, she wrote that the purpose of her invention was "to produce a cheap, simple, convenient and highly effective device, particularly adapted to be used in ironing the sleeves and bodies of ladies' garments." With its approval in 1892, Boone became one of the first African American women to be awarded a patent.

Sir Frederick Handley Page, CBE, FRAeS (1885 – 1962) was an English industrialist who was a pioneer in the aircraft industry and was known as the father of the heavy bomber. He was best known for large aircraft such as the Handley Page 0/400 and Halifax bombers and the H.P.42 airliner. He was knighted in 1942 for his contribution to the war effort.
A young Handley Page once landed his plane in an isolated area during his travels, and unbeknown to him a rat got aboard the plane during his stay.
On the next leg of his flight, Page heard the sickening sound of GNAWING. Suspecting it was a rodent, his heart began to pound. A rat could easily chew through vital controls and cause the plane to crash. He visualized the serious damage that could be done to the fragile mechanisms that controlled the plane and the difficulty of repairs because of the lack of skilled labor and materials in the area.
What could he do?
He remembered hearing that a rat could not survive high altitudes, so he pulled back on the stick. The plane pulled higher and higher until Page found difficulty in breathing. He listened intently and finally breathed a sigh of relief. The gnawing had stopped and he was relieved to be able to lose altitude. When he arrived at his destination he found the rat lying dead behind the cockpit and found there was only minimal damage to the controls.
