PREKMURJE SOCIAL CLUB

Romanje in piknik Prekmurje Social Club bo na očetovski dan, v nedeljo, 16. junija. Pričakujemo lepo vreme in zato bo sv. maša pri lurški votlini. Ob koncu romarske sv. maše bomo zapeli še Litanije Matere Božje z odpevi in blagoslovom z Najsvetejšim. Po maši bo na pikniškem prostoru pikniško kosilo in vse popoldne priložnost za druženje.

Velik del naše skupnosti ima korenine v Prekmurju, zato so Prekmurci ustanovili tudi svoje društvo, ki še danes povezuje njih in njihove potomce.

Člani društva so veliko pripomogli k izboljšavam v Lemontu. Med drugim so pred mnogimi leti zgradili novo kuhinjo na pikniškem prostoru.

S predsednikom Martinom Hozjanom se je delo poživitve Lemonta še okrepilo, posebno v sodelovanju s p. Vendelinom, ko je leta 1986 postal predstojnik (gvardijan) v Lemontu. Končno je iz tega sodelovanja, ob vključevanju vse slovenske skupnosti, dozorela uresničitev gradnje Slovenskega kulturnega (katoliškega) centra (1995).

PREKMURJE SOCIAL CLUB

The Prekmurje Social Club pilgrimage and picnic will take place on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16. We are expecting good weather and therefore St. Mass at the Lourdes Cave. At the end of the pilgrimage St. Masses we will also sing the Litany of the Mother of God with hymns and a blessing with the Most Holy. After Mass, there will be a picnic lunch in the picnic area and an opportunity to socialize all afternoon.

A large part of our community has its roots in Prekmurje, which is why the people of Prekmurje also founded their own association, which still connects them and their descendants today.

The members of the society have contributed much to the improvements in Lemont. Among other things, many years ago they built a new kitchen on the picnic area.

With President Martin Hozjan, the work of revitalizing Lemont was further strengthened, especially in cooperation with Fr. Vendelin, when he became the head (guardian) in Lemont in 1986. Finally, this cooperation, with the involvement of the entire Slovenian community, resulted in the realization of the construction of the Slovenian Cultural (Catholic) Center (1995).

Sunday, June 16th - Father's Day Picnic
The Prekmurje Social Club will be hosting its Annual Father's Day picnic on Sunday, June 16th beginning with mass at 11:00am at the Lourdes Grotto (weather permitting). After mass, we will be serving a delicious BBQ lunch with your choice of Slovenian Klobase or rotisserie chicken. And what kind of Slovenian picnic would it be if did not serve Cevapcici in the afternoon. Children's entertainment will be provided. Bakery donations will be greatly appreciated.
