So, this is an interesting podcast because I'm going behind the scenes and talking to one of the key researchers at Restoration Robotics and Venus Concept, and his name is Oggie Petrovic. Now, if you remember, I've interviewed him in the past. And so now I'm going to go a little bit more specifics on the new ARTAS iX system. It's a little bit of confusing nomenclature here because the previous system was called the "Artas 9" and iX in Roman Numerals is a nine as well. So when patients ask for the latest system, oftentimes they'll ask for the nine or the iX, but generally speaking, it's the IX. It's a completely different system.

So we're gonna talk heads to tails, what's going on? What's new with the system? What's coming up? And what are the capabilities of the system things we're gonna ask is it worth it for patients to get this? What's the upgrade? What kind of technology do they put into this? Oggie has a lot of experience in an area that I'm not as familiar with, which is including engineering, software engineering and robotics. So super excited to share this information with you.

Introducing the only iX in Chicago! This is the latest ARTAS robot. It's the only robot in the world that can implant hairs. It does up to 2000 sites in 30 minutes and is the most precise, most accurate way of doing hair transplantation in the world. And we have it exclusively at ,

So, today I'm showing my result approximately 10 days after my procedure, or as I like to call it, hair redesign. And as you can see, my hair is starting to look normal! In fact, I think it looks better than it did before! I'm wearing my hair back so we can see every aspect of it. The donor area where hairs were harvested by the ARTAS Hair Robot, essentially, is starting to look fairly normal. Where the hairs were implanted, essentially, is looking like little baby hairs kind of throughout my head. I'm super excited to share my final result and I'll keep updating, as I progressed through this.

So it’s day two for my hair transplant. I did it on a Saturday and went back to work Monday. Might’ve been a touch ambitious for most. Most of my patients will go on a Friday and return to work on a Monday which is three days after. I’ll keep you posted and see how I heal.

It’s my first day after hair transplantation. Zero pain, zero medications. I’m using topical exosomes to help my donor site heal faster. I also apply topical exosomes to my grafts lightly. Don’t worry I didn’t get any in my eye. I hope I’m ready to go to work tomorrow and don’t scare too many patients. I feel fine though!!!

It’s not uncommon for men to need more than one hair transplant, in fact most patients will need anywhere between 1 and 4 hair transplant in their lifetime. This happens because some of your hair will continue to fall out as you get older. Fortunately, since I used Exosomes and PRP, a Laser Cap, Nutrafol and Microdose Propecia, my crown and the central part of my hair has been stable. However, despite my medical therapies, I have some “see-through” in my hair. This is pretty common in the front area of the scalp, which is least resistant to medications.
I’m gonna be doing a Mini Hair Transplant procedure with about 800 hair grafts in this area to fortify my hair line and make sure to improve my front.
My hair is longer on purpose so I can do the procedure on Saturday and go back to work on Monday, using my favorite tool for FUT hair transplant.
