Amber Meadow has been created in collaboration with Mary and Stella McCartney to celebrate the lush and fertile lands of Scotland which connects all those who have stood upon them for generations

The McCartney sisters’ love of Scotland stems from their childhood memories of summer days in amber fields at the family farm in the Scottish countryside. They describe nature as both energizing and serene, contrasting qualities rekindled by this collaboration. This affinity with the land inspires joyful memories of family, sisterhood, and community.

To mark this deep connection with the land, discarded meadow cuttings have been given new line in this presentation box and bottle labels.

The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team has taken inspiration from natural Scottish grasslands, creating a single malt redolent of warm meadows and mature barley fields, with a rich, citrus scented finish.

The whisky is bottled at 44.2% Ale/Vol to complement the warm, summer evening notes.

Built on the tremendous legacy and a pioneering spirit of Bourbon Hall of Famer and Master Distiller, Lincoln Henderson, Angel’s Envy innovated the foundations of bourbon and rye through a unique “secondary finishing” technique. By maturing their whiskey in charred oak barrels, then transferring it to secondary finishing casks, they crafted a distinct blend of refined complexity with an inviting flavor profile. During the aging process, the 5% of spirit lost each year is known as the “Angel’s Share.” After tasting our finished whiskey, Lincoln joked that we had finally struck a better deal than the angels. And so, Angel’s Envy was born.

New to the collection: Weller Millennium

As the third oldest operating distillery in the world, with roots dating back to 1773, Buffalo Trace Distillery (as it’s known today) has been honing its craft since Kentucky was a wild, untamed frontier and the United States was just an idea. In the centuries that followed, the Distillery changed hands numerous times, but one thing always remained constant; it was a home place for the creation of authentic American whiskey.

At the turn of the millennium, the Distillery was amid a period of transformation once again and looked to its forebears for inspiration. As a trailblazer in the industry, the distillation team chose to pay homage to W.L. Weller by setting aside some of the first whiskeys distilled in the new millennium for the sole purpose of creating this extraordinary innovation.

A blend of vintage straight bourbon and wheat whiskeys distilled in 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2006, Weller Millennium highlights the impact that wheat has on the whiskey’s flavor: the softness imparted by the wheat creates a smoother, sweeter, more approachable expression. By marrying these exceptional spirits together, the whiskeys further harmonize with each other, creating a cohesive, balanced final product that is greater than the sum of its parts.

According to legend, in the late 1780s, Reverend Elijah Craig, a baptist preacher and distiller, started storing his homemade whiskey in charred American oak barrels. He stamped the barrels with their county of origin, Bourbon County, Kentucky, and began shipping them down for sale to New Orleans. The three-month travel time in the charred oak barrels mellowed the whiskey and gave it a smooth, smoky, oaky, and thoroughly delicious flavor. While the exact details of his contributions are debated, his legacy is undeniable.
